SILENT HILL 2 (Xbox, PS2, Windows)

"IN MY RESTLESS DREAMS I SEE THAT TOWN, SILENT HILL..." (Mary's letter) Hello and welcome back to Silent Hill! I remember the first time I played this game—I was old enough to file my own income tax, and what did I do with the money, you ask? Lol. I bought myself a used original Xbox console...

    *UNCONTROLLABLE VOMITING*

Now, of course, I don't need to tell any of you fine folks about emulation, I just so happened upon these three convenient images in my travels and felt they would make a good post. So if you'll excuse me, I have to go clean up...you know...all the bile and stuff...

Does Silent Hill have performance issues for you guys as well?

Most of the time it runs fine, 30fps for long periods, but everytime any kind of "dynamic lighting" kicks in, the performance goes DOWN, 10-15fps max. Did this issue occur even in real hardware? I've tested on both DuckStation and Mednafen's RetroArch core, and the problem persisted.
