Well this thread went in some strange directions.

Assuming Capcom actually does the unthinkable and continues one of their non-SF/RE legacy franchises, where do you think DMC6 would go? Going into hell with Dante and Vergil following 5 could be interesting, we've actually never seen DMC hell as far as I can remember at least. Capcom's been switching things up a lot in their games lately, so maybe there could even be some gameplay changes or something. Or maybe it'll be a RE7 thing where it's just an almost entirely unconnected new story/character.

New Dante? The Old Dante is the same as the new one. Dante in DMC2 has no character whatsoever. He says like 4 lines in the entire game it wasnt made by any of the new or old DMC devs

I think the next game would be Nero focused and eventually in the plot they bring Dante and Vergil back after their extended vacations slaying demons in Hell. At least that's what the ending of DMCV implied, but that's gonna be a few years from now. I really think Capcom would be focusing on their other franchises for the time being. Street Fighter 6 is doing really well and Monster Hunter.... let's not talk about monster hunter milds.

Yeah let Crapcom do even MORE games on Resident Evil, Street Fighter and Monster Hunter. Those games are starving for new releases.

New Dante? The Old Dante is the same as the new one. Dante in DMC2 has no character whatsoever. He says like 4 lines in the entire game it wasnt made by any of the new or old DMC devs

I prefer old Dante, new one talks a lot and his decision-making process no different than little kids lol.

But when old Dante talked he dropped the atomic bomb!!!:

Back then he reminded me 1st Witcher's book version of Geralt of Rivia, hence why I liked Dante. Now he is nothing like this. IDK when I connect to the character and then they change so much I cannot get into to the game.

I admire fun Dante gameplay of 3rd and 5th, but overall as a game my preference is 2nd. Despite I dislike 4th I enjoyed Dante moments lol.

DMC6: Featuring Bayonetta from the Bayonetta franchise! Make it happen somehow, Capcom. Give us the crossover like 3 people maybe want to see. It would be better than Bayo3, that's for sure.

Let Mundus come back I wanna see him doing the psychological warfare he did with Dante and Vergil but with Nero this time around, since Nero is the only one I can see crashing out over these things, although I guess it doesnt make THAT much sense to do that from Nero's character development standpoint... unless, Vergil swoops in to save his son or something. I think Mundus is a cool villain, he likes to mess with people's mind and shit, I imagine he would want to beef with Nero as he's the youngest Sparda descendant in the Human World now.

On the other hand, I would like to see a Dante focused game again since we only had 3 and 1 with him as the narrative's main focus, but then again there's not much more development he can have either so yeah lol
