Also, the best 3D Sonic game we have right now. I am still learning the ropes of this game, but it is addicting. I have not gotten a silver medal nor gold yet, but I am having fun first and going back for improved score runs later. Just when you think you've seen everything the game has to offer, it throws curveball after curveball, and more curveballs within that same curveball that has a new gameplay mechanic that works or does not feel forced. Also, I recommend you customize the controls and make the jump button the bottom face button and the default use R2/RT to jump. Why make that the default? Glad I changed it when I did. Here are some reviews:

How is this anything close to 3D Sonic? This is close to Temple Run or Subway Surfers considering you can't run around the levels and fight enemies.

In terms of speed. Sure, you're not exactly fighting other enemies, but there are more than a few Sonicisms in there. How you switch tracks, or lanes is very reminiscent, and reminds me of how it works in Sonic Unleashed/Generations. I know there are differences, but I'm not afraid to point out similarities. It seems like a better Sonic game than Frontiers at least. Nothing against actual fans of that game, but it just didn't do it for me, and it was too much padding. Obviously it's more Jet Set and Tony Hawk inspired l, but it's clearly taking from a lot of Dreamcast era aspects, and combining them into one, while doing their own thing.

😲 yeah now that you mention it, looks close to Unleashed/Generations.

I finished the trick park level with the abandoned airplanes and got my first silver medal.

BTW, there are courses where you do attack enemies or bosses. Usually the boss course itself will have some minor type mooks or minions, but boss fights do have health meters. They play similar to have the running section boss fights worked in the Boost era Sonic games, but they change it up to something unique each time.
