Description

DON'T FORGET TO READ THE READ ME! THE 2001 TECH DEMO VERSION IS A BIT WEIRD AND MAY TAKE A FEW BOOTS TO START!

DroneZ XL is a single-player futuristic shooter. The player is guiding a male or female avatar through a virtual reality, representing the future world for humans living in suspended animation vats while their bodies are being cared for by insects and their minds are prevented from leaving the virtual world by its dominant AI. The task is for the character to jump/travel on discs representing memory bits in an organic computer, while avoiding wall mounted cannons, electrical fields and various aliens trying to stop you from escaping the virtual reality into the real world.

I love tech demos and love when they get full games even more! This is a collection that has both the 2001 tech demo that came with NVIDIA's GeForce 3 graphics cards and the 2004 full release that was only released on PC in Russia and Xbox in Japan. Luckily, someone has made an English patch so you can experience both the tech demo and the full game we never got right here!

It's so cool I even made a little .gif for the English patch area! This game was a benchmark for the GeForce 3 so why not bring that energy to everyone on the site too!

Enjoy!

it's windows 10 64bit. where is the config_en.exe file located? or you mean the dgvoodoo configuration file?
Whoops wrong game sorry x-x In that case ya you could mess with the dgVoodooCpl.exe settings and do something like put it to windowed mode:

When I do these I test it on 2 computers and sometimes have a friend try it too so if it doesn't work for some it can throw me off a bit. It is a game that does require nvidea drivers too but the fact it starts at all means you should be fine in that area. Try windowed, see what happens.

It seems to work find on both my comps and the people that play it. Are you using Linux? If so I have no clue and if your using windows you may wanna run the config_en.exe file to see if you can mess with some of its settings.

For some reason it always opens up bigger than it should be despite my screen resolution is 1080p, so I can't see half of the stuff, and also neither the demo nor the full game recognize my mouse...

This looks a lot like Tron and something like Half-Life.... did the fusion dance.
Must admit, this looks fricken dope.
Thats true! Does have that mix.

It is indeed dope and very 00s~
Yeah that gif is truly the perfect sell imo.

Cool as fuck
I worked hard on that gif so it brings that 00s tech demo energy like the game does ::biggrin
