Why not? The translation is done by the WINE team along with help by the talented hacker ValleyBell. They have done phenomenally good translations on several other PC-98 games.I don't trust FAKKU, honestly...
The work by the translators I'm sure is good, it has nothing to do with FAKKU. I just remember when they completely changed their site and paywalled a bunch of stuff they once hosted for free. Why not? Also have you ever read any hentai manga published by FAKKU? I dunno about their attempts at publishing visual novels and other adult games for PC, but they have the best quality translations and editing I've ever seen in officially translated H manga. I have a ton of volumes and chapters from hentai artists I keep a watch on from them. I stole them using piracy lol but still. The quality is hard to not notice
Ah yeah the old we used to do this illegally but now we're doing it legit under official permission from the license holders situation. It was inevitable that it would happen that way since they started doing translations officially instead. The work by the translators I'm sure is good, it has nothing to do with FAKKU. They're kind of doing the same thing here, but at least the translators are getting paid...
Thanks a lot I appreciate your valuable knowledge and you can even patch it on your phone with those directions.I got the patched version of Dengeki Nurse for my personal use to include in the archive I have of every translated PC-98 game. I was going to add it to the repo, but there's a line in the readme file that explicitly states they don't allow a patched version to be rehosted anywhere else.
I could have just backspaced out that line and added it anyway but chances are that someone would contact Spike and tell them to remove it from the repo. Rage Burner said it was best to just leave it be and not add it.
You can patch it yourself easily. The main page for the patch is here. Get the Dengeki Nurse [HD].zip from here and patch it using an online patcher or this app.
The game has some settings in Neko Project or MAME that need to be altered for it to function properly. The readme file they provided does a good job of telling you what to change, but it might be harder to do so on a phone with Neko Project II Kai in RetroArch compared to accessing those same settings through the Neko Project 21/W emulator for Windows.Looking forward to Marine philt and necronomicon

Isn't CDromance supposed to be the front site for hosting game content that isn't rights sensitive? and Isn't the Repo meant to be the secret side of CDR for hosting content for that purpose?I got the patched version of Dengeki Nurse for my personal use to include in the archive I have of every translated PC-98 game. You're sorta right in that it can hide sensitive posts, but we still don't like to host problematic stuff. Like new indie games from itch.io for old systems that aren't free is an example of a bad thing to put on here. Since the developer can get notified and then tell Spike to take it down.Isn't CDromance supposed to be the front site for hosting game content that isn't rights sensitive? and Isn't the Repo meant to be the secret side of CDR for hosting content for that purpose?
Worked well to patch on phone. Thanku for the instructions. Hopefully more pc98 games to come without paywall or noshare requests. Plz keep us informed of hard to find or nonshareable pc98 games to patch if u come across them. That's the wildcard we unfortunately have to deal with. You're sorta right in that it can hide sensitive posts, but we still don't like to host problematic stuff. That happened when I posted the unofficial PS Vita fan port of Arisa Developer's Cut. A user on here went and notified Casper Croes after I told them I didn't plan on deleting the post. Then Casper Croes sent a message to Spike telling him to take the post down. The post was only on here and not CDR, but that fact alone didn't help it from being removed.
This particular patch has been requested by the authors of it to not have the pre-patched version of it be shared anywhere. It would be in bad faith to ignore the disclaimer in the readme file and go against their wishes. Personally I don't give a shit and I'd post it anyway if it was wholly up to me, but it's not.

There will always be snowflakes and carebears who feel obligated to do the most.
Just goes to show that nothing is too secret on the net and you never know whos watching.
By the way, I also approve of what @Metalgeareris said. Thank You and keep up the effort.
I do but it's working fine on neko project on RetroArch for meThe game has some settings in Neko Project or MAME that need to be altered for it to function properly. The readme file they provided does a good job of telling you what to change, but it might be harder to do so on a phone with Neko Project II Kai in RetroArch compared to accessing those same settings through the Neko Project 21/W emulator for Windows.
The readme also includes a link to a good PC-98 emulation guide by the site gang-fight that is a good reference to go by to learn how to run these games, but it uses that NP21/W emulator for it.
While it's probably total possible to fully play this on an iPhone/iPad or Android phone/tablet using RetroArch with the Neko Project II Kai core, it'd probably work much better through NP21/W if you have a PC and can run that emulator.
As long as you got it working good without any hiccups and glitches then that's all that matters. There's a sequel game too called Dengeki Nurse 2 - More Sexy. I hope it gets translated too at some point. Wouldn't make sense to translate this one but not its direct sequel.I do but it's working fine on neko project on RetroArch for me
that does not work. They say the hdi is of the wrong length :(I got the patched version of Dengeki Nurse for my personal use to include in the archive I have of every translated PC-98 game. I dunno what you're doing wrong or what file you accidentally downloaded or if the file you downloaded got corrupted, but the .hdi file inside Dengeki Nurse [HD].zip is literally the file the .xdelta is targeting. The readme file even directly says to use that file. I used the UniPatcher app for Android to patch the game, but the Delta Patcher app for PC that I linked in my comment will also work for it.that does not work. They say the hdi is of the wrong length :(
Hello there. You can add it to the repo, I do not mind. However, please use the updated version I just threw on my website, there was some critical bugs that were just caught. Please put up DOTB2 while you're at it. That note was there to deter anyone from throwing it on romhacking dot net.I got the patched version of Dengeki Nurse for my personal use to include in the archive I have of every translated PC-98 game. It's in consideration, there probably should be some consistency of the same people working on both games, but me and Trent are busy with FAKKU figuring out this official stuff, other hobbies and work are suffocating me right now, and Geometrizer is busy with life stuff too. If y'all have any questions about the official release, I can probably answer a good amount of them, but the main jist is that they're not gonna be emulated, rather instead ports using a new engine. I think also there could be a censored version on Steam, with uncensored DLC available, but I'm not sure completely on Dengeki, but some games will most likely need them because it's very touchy. As for GOG/DMM/wherever, I don't think we will need it. I believe the first games that will be released on Steam are the ones released by WINE, so Dengeki and DOTB.As long as you got it working good without any hiccups and glitches then that's all that matters. I was actually coming onto here to say that I just saw that it updated to v1.1 and for people to make sure to update theirs. It was a pleasant surprise to find your comment and to learn that you're ok with it being on the repo. I will add the 1.1 of this and Dead of the Brain 1 and 2 sometime soon.Hello there. Also fun fact, it seems the Japanese figured out about the official stuff going on and they seem to be excited too, since this will also allow for versions that they will be able to play. Even Act Mao (the Dengeki Nurse artist) knows about it.
There was some nasty drama a few years ago and that's sorta tarnished any interest in having our works on there. Romhacking dot net had some confusing NSFW restrictions, RHDI makes it a lot more clear what they will and will not allow to be uploaded, like no loli shit.I was actually coming onto here to say that I just saw that it updated to v1.1 and for people to make sure to update theirs. I don't know what happened but I am a bit curious as to why the patch can be on places like romhack.ing, romhackplaza.org, and archive.org but not romhacking.net? Has their reputation gone to shit or something? I've used it for over a decade but never with the forums side on there, so I wouldn't know.
