Yay more Emily the Strange love!
I hope you enjoy it, have you read the chapter books too? It's by the same author of the comics. The author just about applied to get as many rights as he could to write Emily's stories from the franchise.
I haven't! I've just started getting into her world 😄

Started the Books of Blood by Clive Barker recently, I had NO idea he existed, and just yesterday realized he wrote the original story of Candymam and a lot of other horror movies I knew of since years ago, yet there I was thinking I'd found a hidden gem of an author...I feel a bit dumb

I'm in the half of this book, a very intriguing look at the japanese society trough the lenses of a play of Go. I have more books in my to-read list, i don't know if continue with The Final Programme, In Cold Blood or another.

Really interesting interviews, especially with Eiji Otsuka and Watanabe. Hopefully they release Patrick's writings on ero- the last update I've seen was from an interview on Weebcrews podcast from about a year ago.

(Serious):
Honestly, I found The Hidden Reality by Brian Greene to be a captivating exploration of some of the most mind-bending concepts in contemporary physics. Greene possesses a remarkable ability to elucidate intricate ideas, such as multiverses and string theory without overwhelming the reader, which is truly commendable.

The book prompted me to reconsider the vastness and strangeness of reality, grounding these profound notions firmly in rigorous scientific inquiry rather than mere speculation. If you possess a curiosity about the universe and are willing to engage with intellectually demanding material, I believe you will find it both enlightening and profoundly thought-provoking. It offers an exquisite synthesis of science and philosophy, ultimately broadening one's perspective on the nature of existence

"In the landscape of string theory, the vacua are not merely mathematical curiosities but are dynamically realized, giving rise to a multiverse where each vacuum state manifests as a separate universe."

Quetal el libro hasta el momento

If you are a fan of Earthbound, it is very informative. A lot of the information in the book can also be found on the writer's website, but the book is a handy resource with everything at your fingertips. There are a lot of nice images in it as well - it's layout design is very similar to the Earthbound strategy guide from back in the day. Here is an example:

Like many things to be honest. Disney has always altered radically many of their inspirations.

Tales of the Dead/Fantasmagoriana: "The Family Portraits"
It's great so far. Much better than anticipated, as I read this by candle light during a thunder storm. I shall have to read Polidori's "The Vampyre and Ernestus Berchtold" after this book for the full effect however.

Reading House of Leaves again thanks to Blue Prince

I'm a bit slowing down on Ecotopia... I dunno why it doesn't thrill me as much as before.

I have gotten Tarzan and King Kong so I'd be interested in reading them instead.

I just finished that Emily The Strange book yesterday.

I started reading his other manga called Sazan and Comet-Girl which is rlly cute, I should pick it back up. I've been pretty busy with my music lately though so I haven't read much

I'm currently reading 'salem's Lot by Stephen King! I'm a really big fan of King's writing and this book has been a treat so far x3

Nonfiction is just about the only thing I can keep a head for now adays while working. Read a bunch of western living magazines, historical magazines, and wildlife. Now I'm reading this:
Creating Reading Rainbow - Barbara Irwin, Tony Buttino Sr., Pam Johnson
It's a bit autobiographical than technical history so far but I'm curious since I grew up with the program nearly my whole childhood.

This also looks interesting to me. I'll definitely try to read this soon.

I haven't read a book in a long time .
ok post it on facebook did you not read the title of the thread??
I’m reading on how to be a sigma 🗿🍷
is it working?

last i read was the valley of fear by doyle. its pretty good and you can tell he had the same urge he had back when he wrote a study in scarlet as in he really wanted to write another western crime syndicate drama lol. i'd say out of the four novels its the weakest but it server as an introduction to moriarty's character and it has a pretty good illustration of long undercover operations during the second half of the story. the ending was severely bittersweet tho, its the only holmes novel with a bittersweet ending(even study in scarlet was somewhat satisfying in its ending)

idk what to read next i might read something verne or dumas next.

im starting up Neighborhood Story by Yazawa Ai
i read one chapter then had to lay down cuz i barely slept last night TwT

this is the last story by her that i need to read before ive officially read every single series by her published in English! 😄
