I'll wait until the full roster is finally there and in sales because 70 bucks for a digital game is a big no for me.

I still dislike the FOMO about the Werehog.

Anyway, I can still play the All-Star games because I can enjoy the Sega characters in it and they're cheap for those interested in. I'd argue that even on the Switch someone buying MK8 DX (even without the Pass) would have a ton of content already available.

Not sure thats a totally fair comparison because the switch version of mk8 comes with 4 dlc packs bundled in by default. It doesnt make your comparison wrong tho.

I could argue that the advantages of SRCW is that it's multi-platforms so you can get it on PC without the requirement of any other consoles but purely in term of content/money MK8 DX is quite worth its price (unless you get the Sonic game at -15% to put it slightly under 60).

Maybe if Sega could put the Werehog back and after the full cast is finally revealed I'd reconsider buying it.

I only played the demo (waiting for a sale) and I think crossworlds is significantly better than MK World. I don't think theres any competition there. I was dunking on "Mario-Kart-like" as a genre-title in that message though, sorry that wasn't super clear. Kart-racer, FPS, procedural dungeon crawlers, diffcult/brutal action (or Massocore but i haven't heard anyone use that since 2008 born and died with Super Meat Boy I think) and Search-action all have better more descriptive genres people can use.

I think this is basically the same issue with Street Fighter V when it came out because you would have a better time playing Ultra SF IV with its full roster.

At least for me, I don't think it's silly to compare newer games with older games. Like you said, an older game in the same franchise might have a bigger roster. Or they might have changed or removed gameplay/features that one might expect to be the same.

I'm more partial towards Ryan Drummond because of nostalgia.

But my favourite is still Jun'Ichi Kanemaru (and Tomokazu Seki for the Werehog in this language)

It is disappointing. Guess I'll have to record some dialogue from Infinite Wealth to listen to when I play as Ichiban.
