I will end up getting Sonic Crosswords, had fun in the network test they did. Though not sure if I will go steam or Switch 2 for it. Leaning towards Switch 2 just because I really love the Switch 2 Pro Controller and the game being on the cartridge. Sure Sega is going to make me wait until 2026 for the physical release but I got plenty of other games to catch up on in my backlog in the meantime.

Insane news story aside (which, yeah, holy heck), I’m just happy that we have a new Sonic game that people are genuinely excited for across the board? Like, that’s such a rarity. It shouldn’t be, but I’m not here to fight about that.

I just want to bask in this moment, where people are genuinely happy and looking forward to this game. That’s a special thing.

excited for crossworld to go on sale, personally. since i'll need two copies. If teh network test is indicative fo the final product (don't see why it wouldn't be) it's better playing than mario kart world.

Transformed is one of my favorite kart games of all time. I didn't care for Team Sonic racing at all and never playd it but Crossworlds has me hyped. Already bought the deluxe edition for steam.

Unless I've missed it, I'm extremely doubtful they're going to have a Sonic Adventure track in this game. Windy Valley is a highway in the sky. Twinkle Park is literally a kart racing track. This stuff writes itself.

The kicker for me is that it is quite a bit cheaper to buy it physically in my country. Still, can't hurt to wait for more content and/or a sale

I still dislike the FOMO about the Werehog.

Anyway, I can still play the All-Star games because I can enjoy the Sega characters in it and they're cheap for those interested in. I'd argue that even on the Switch someone buying MK8 DX (even without the Pass) would have a ton of content already available.

Fair points. I do want that Werehog, but I accepted waiting and didn't pre-order. 99% of the time, pre-order exclusive DLC isn't exclusive for long.

I could at least play as one of the Team Babylon member and use an Extreme Gear so I could pretend I'm playing Sonic Riders 4.

Yeah, for all the cool marketing stuff they did, finding out that none of the DLC would be voiced did take away from some of that coolness. Not even the SEGA-owned crossover characters
