Console ports of arcade games that are objectively superior?

And when I say superior I don't say "arcade perfect" (since it was easier around the Dreamcast era) but ports that added features that improved upon the game (regardless if it unbalances the game).

Modern compilations are just arcade ports without any new additions which is a bit too bad when back then they were willing to add new content to compensate for the fewer animation frames or background resolution.

I really thought that I could list like a dozen examples, but now that I checked my library, the only thing I can think of would be the various Cave shmups that got home console ports.
Akai Katana Shin, Mushihimesama, Ketsui, that kind of thing. Those all got alternate game/scoring modes or stage select/practice options that really improve the experience.

Now I'm really curious what people are gonna post - I apparently usually stick with the arcade versions of most games, it turns out. Wonder what I've been missing.

EDIT: Oh also the various M2 shmup ports! Ray'z Arcade Chronology for example. Those are all fantastic improvements as well.
Their Aleste collection even got an entire new game in the style of the older entries added to it.

Tekken 7 was the first thing I thought of, but I'm not very well-versed in arcades.

Arrange modes are often fun to try.

The Dreamcast port of Zombie Revenge adds a few game modes not present in the arcade original iirc.

For me is The Neo-Geo AES/CD & Sega Dreamcast arcade ports which are quite faithful to the originals of the arcade and with a some more content and also that they are easy to port too.

And I would also include Tekken 3 and Bloody Roar II on PS1 which are great ports of the Arcade and with more content like the Tekken Force & Tekken Ball (Unlockable) and Story Mode in Bloody Roar II to keep playing.

Soulcalibur II for the home console versions which are better than in the Arcade especially because of the large dose of content that the game has and as well as the exclusive/guest character depending on the version you play.

Time Crisis 2 and Teken Tag Tournament had better graphics on the PS2 than on the arcades. Tekken Tag Torunament PS2 also had a remaster for the PS3.

Punch-Out on the NES is legendary.

The Arcade one feels clumsy.
Those are completely different games, even though they share the same title.

Bionic Commando
Arcade
NES

Edit: I guess these could be considered different games. Ports to home PCs got a game more inline with the arcade version but Capcom decided to go a completely different direction.

MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 2
SOULCALIBUR
POWER STONE 2
and everything else on the Dreamcast that added bonus content.
What about the racing games? The Dreamcast ports usually have more content, but the arcade version has a proper wheel and pedals.

there's a wheel for the Dreamcast. Quite a few.

Operation Logic Bomb for the SNES had an entire extra chapter that wasn't in the arcade version, if I'm not mistaken. The arcade version just sort of ends anticlimactically, but the SNES version gives the game a proper conclusion and the new content makes up something like a third of the entire game's length.

That game's got a cool atmosphere.
