We live in the hypothetical future where Fighters Megamix 2 has somehow come out. Also a whale is president.

All of the cast from the first game return. I ask of the thread, which characters do you want to see added.

This is a fun thread. Throw all logic out the window and just come up with a hypothetical move set or something for a character. The only rule is that the character has to be from a SEGA game (which does allow for some fun crossovers if you can cite your sources).

Explanation time!!!!!

1 MadWorld is in the same boat as Bayonetta, since Platinum's first few outings were collabs with SEGA. Bayonetta still requires their input, safe to say MadWorld would too

2 SEGAGAGA is obvious. But also because 404 Reset Error had SEGA as the villains but no mention of this game at all, what a waste

3 Rad Mobile. Look if we can get the Hornet-

4 Obscure Atlus game. I've yet to see records of any other developers so I'm convinced its pure Atlus fare, unlike Baroque or Deep Labyrinth

5 obvious

6 obvious

7 obvious

I am not good at making movesets in the case of something like MegaMix. Maybe I could whip up Smash hypotheticals for Jack, Chad, Sovereign, and Kyouji but not this game

Bayonetta (the IP is owned by SEGA), witch time shenanigans to make everyone freaking salt, lol.

Red Ring Rico from Phantasy Star Online. Her moves can be hunter weapons: sabers, swords, handgun, slicers... Her special can be the photon blast Farlla (never saw her with a MAG, tho...).

Sonic: That's easy, just put his Sonic Battle and Sonic Frontiers moves.

My brain says no but my heart says yes: Seraph from Digital Devil Saga Avatar Tuner. I know: Atlus is Atlus and SEGA is SEGA, they're separate companies under the same umbrella, I just wanna see Seraph tuning into Ardha and breaking some bones. Their Prana Beam normal attack is SO COOL

For me, I really only have one request:
IMG_6166.jpeg

Please have Opa Opa.
He can have very stubby normals, like Gon from TEKKEN 3, but he also has this quickly recharging meter that allows him to take to the skies and shoot at you. As he beats up his foes, they drop coins, which can allow him to buy upgrades mid-match with button combinations. Completely uncompetitive, but not busted, and I feel like he can lead into some pretty funny juggles with his projectile moves.

Either Kiryu or Ichiban (or they’re alt costumes of the same character), but they have zero punches and kicks, every move is a Yakuza minigame of some kind. Pop the cork on a champagne bottle like a club owner for a launcher, follow and air combo with the choreography from 24-hour cindarella, then get another OTG hit running them over with the car from OutRun.

I guess I’m describing Mr Game and Watch: Like a Dragon edition.

If we're turning this into a general Sega crossover, get my boys Billy Hatcher and Phantom R in there, it's not like they're getting any new games of their own to appear in any time soon. I think the egg and rhythm gimmicks respectively could make for fun movesets.

Axel Stone from Streets of Rage. Being from a beat em up gives plenty of moves to reference in a fighting game. Of course, fire should be the primary element his attacks have an emphasis on.

I should probably specify that while SOR4 was developed by a different studio, the first three games in the series were developed and published by Sega.

Alternatively, Vyse from Skies of Arcadia could work as a dual blade swordfighter. Being an air pirate also allows for a potentially diverse movelist. He's more well-known as a physical attacker, but also could use skull shield to defend and counterattack as a super. He also would use lightning in some attacks.

Kohran Li (Sakura Wars; her fighting style would utilize kung fu):

Lisa Kusanami (Last Bronx; utilizes a double metal stick fighting style):

I would add Dante from the Devil May Cry™ Series. Hear me out. This isn't "Dante," the main protagonist of DMC. This is "Dante from the Devil May Cry™ Series" as featured in Shin Megami Tensei III. SMT is a SEGA franchise due to their acquisition of ATLUS. As such, he is a character from a SEGA game. He fights like the Hero from Super Smash Bros. as he has a selection of moves from a menu. These include attacks like "Stinger", "Rebellion", and "Showtime". Also, he mainly attacks by just chasing down other fighters in a maze. He also takes no fall damage. Not that that is important in a fighting game, I just thought I should mention it. Also, adding him will allow us to put the sticker on the game case.

I fucking second Jack Cayman from Madworld.
I'm surprised no one mentioned someone from Streets of Rage. Anyone of the main original three, though I'd vote Blaze. (Edit: just barley noticed Axel vote)
Blaze_Fielding_Sprites.jpg

Second, someone to rep Golden Axe, I'd vote Axe Battler.

Third, for the hell of it, someone from Altered Beast. Either the original dead centurions from the first game or the DNA solider from the PS 2 game. (Yeah, I know the rage the guy from the PS 2 game would cause, since people hated the game.)

Segata Sanshiro

For those who don't know him, he was a mascot created by SEGA just to advertize SEGA Saturn. Even as a SEGA fanboi I think this attempt was very nonsensical and ruined the hope I had about the future of SEGA after many epic fails instead of having any positive effect. It was just too cringe. Even Segata Sanshiro couldn't beat PlayStation lol.

So for this video game I thought of special attacks like "Saturn Justice!" that he simply bashes a SEGA Saturn onto his opponent's head and also advertises how durable the SEGA Saturn is. Also "Saturn Rain" move that he jumps into the air in a way he blocks the sunlight by creating an eclipse and then he throws SEGA Saturn games like ninja stars onto his opponents and ask his opponents to play these so many great games lol. He may also say "I will show you the real power of SEGA Saturn" or "I'll convince you how SEGA Saturn is the best video game console you'll ever experience" before the fight starts, and after he beats his opponents he may say cringe stuff like "This proves you are no match to hate SEGA Saturn. Let's play SEGA Saturn all day" lol. He may also scream "SEGAAAAAAAA SATUUUUURN" in the middle of combos lol.

He is a weird character so possibilities are endless thanks to SEGA Saturn!!! lol.

For a really big ass roster, throw in one of these 3. Rival to Janet, cause of the guns. Hell, have House of the dead zombie as a playable character with big ass amount of life bar.

The original Fighters Megamix wasn't characters from Sega games in general, it was only characters from Sega AM2 games specifically. That's why they had these two characters from Sonic the Fighters but not Sonic himself, for example. So if that sequel just adds AM2 characters, you could throw in:
-The cast from Spikeout. The original is still AM2 (Amusement Vision was formed right after). 3 beat-'em-up characters.
-The guy from Sword of Vermillion. A knight in armor with a sword is a little unbalanced, he'd feel like a Soul Calibur character.
-The guy from Hang-On, maybe on his motorcycle
-Space Harrier dude with his jetpack
-AM2 developed an obscure 2D fighter called Burning Rivals. The characters are nothing special, but maybe throw in the karate guy or something
-Random soccer player from Virtua Striker
