Game Description:

Castlevania: Order of Shadows - Golden Belmont is a Action/Platformer 2D video game published by Elvies and developed by Elvies released on March 3rd, 2026 for the GB Color.

Castlevania: Order of Shadows - Golden Belmont aims to re-imagine the infamous Mobile Java game of the same name.

Reworked from the ground up with a re-imagined story that aligns the timeline with Legends, Resurrection and the original Order script.

A small fan game for the fans of the lore but did not like the java game's controls and "physics" all that much.

Neat! I played OoS on my Blackberry, a million years ago. I remember that I could choose sound effects or music, but not both 😆

This was from Launchbox Community forums from a user who used ChatGPT to recreate the low quality cover from the Itch.io page. The original one actually looks more like AI than this one except in a sloppier job of it. Plus it was done in a 3D boxart look that doesn't work well for the Repo. This cover might have been AI generated but it looks pretty damn good. I'd rather have a good looking serviceable AI cover that does the job instead of nothing at all. The amount of people bitching over AI content in both translations and covers has become absolutely ridiculous. We shouldn't have to end up locking a thread from further replies just because some users would rather complain and start a huge argument about AI being used for a cover instead of actually talking about the game in the post. We don't put AI covers because we prefer them, we do it because either they were the ones officially used for the game or there's nothing else at all to use. This was a free game shared on Itch.io, you shouldn't always expect the developer to commission artists to create a cover. Sometimes they're gonna just use AI to help if they can't draw it themselves. If you really care so much then perhaps draw up a better cover and we can use it in place of this, but has of now there's no alternative cover to use. AI is sometimes a necessary evil, not something we prefer and seek out
It's going to become a topic of discussion because it sticks out like a sore thumb.
I'm not going to expect/demand anything from the devs, on the itch.io website its just a poor sharpening filter muddying the picture to make a cute 3d render of a plausible box art; in here its a very bad recreation of the original art.
You can be frustrated by the ammount of people complaining about GenAI, but so can people be frustrated at the usage of said thing.
To the devs of the port I respect the work they did for the game.

What's with the GenAi cover?
looks like RGT staff can't get enough of ai slop nowadays
