It's really been 28 years, huh?

My parents bought this game at launch. At the time I was young and didn't understand the more open design, but it quickly went on to become one of my favorite games ever.

It's true that it aged so well that it doesn't need much. I'd like to see the Saturn extras transplanted back into the game, but I can't think of much else.

This game aged well that playing today still gives you the feel of it being a trailblazer. This is one of the the few PS1 games that has been ported to mobile devices both iOS and Android besides SNK and SquareEnix releases.

You know, if I didn’t already know what SOTN was and you showed it to me now, I might think it was trying to be retro, but well done. I’ve owned SOTN on just about every platform it’s been released on — well, except the Switch, because, you know, I haven’t given in to that yet. I even bought it on iOS back when I was tethered to an iPhone.

As for Harmony of Despair, that multiplayer Castlevania was a blast, even if it felt a bit like trying to dance with two left feet.

I’ve got it for every console you can think of: PSX, PSP, Android, PS3, 360, and iOS. At this rate, I might as well start a digital museum for all my copies of Castlevania

I've been playing ever since SotN on the PS1 so this series is near and dear to em. Pretty sure I've played every mainline CV game there is as well as some spin-offs. I never get tired of romping through Dracula's castle and combating the nightmarish hordes that dwell within. Heck, SotN is my favorite video game of all time and playing it is one of my favorite PS1 based childhood memories.

So with all do respect towards Konami I issue unto them this one humble request.

Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night and Portrait Of Ruin, my two favorite Castlevanias.

While I like the metroidvania entries in the series the most I have a soft spot for the first Lords of Shadow game. It definitely takes after Devil May Cry, Prince of Persia and God of War with a dash of Shadow of the Colossus for good measure rather than follow the established formula but since I like those games I like LoS as well. It might be derivative (or not a real Castlevania if you prefer) but it's a well-made action-adventure romp I feel. I don't have enough of an emotional attachment to the series to hold a divergence from the norm against the game.

Sadly no, though there are plenty of ways to play it on pc.
More a metroidvania fan than classicvania, but i wish they still made them.
