Capcom gushes over AI

Artistic designs are already pretty bland. Storytelling avoids taking risks; AI is another nail in the coffin. At least I think it can be fine if used just for coding

The only case for AI is crappy souless videos, horrible propaganda, broken code, malware, fraud, scams and terrorizing everyone who isn't a billionaire into fearing for their job and future.

It must be destroyed. Period.

I swear to god, the way all this AI shit feels so forced.

it just feels like people are just pushing it for the sake of pushing it rather than actually thinking about the consequences
I think a good chunk of it is the whole sunk cost fallacy. Most of these companies have probably had executives wow'ed by the marketing pitches, had licenses bought or deals struck, and now the rank and file are forced to integrate it at whatever cost.

That's probably why it feels forced. Because it is. All due to leadership being completely and utterly detached from everything the company actually does.

Sometimes the AI models work great, other times they output doodoo.

It's nothing more than an AI Cult, what most movies top dogs right now. They literally believe in magic.

Schank had homes in Palm Beach, Florida and rural Quebec. In Florida, he was a neighbor of Jeffrey Epstein, and attended an artificial intelligence conference sponsored by him on his island in 2002
Several prominent academics specializing in artificial intelligence and computer science were linked to Jeffrey Epstein through released government documents. While appearing in the files does not imply involvement in illegal acts, these individuals are facing institutional reviews and public scrutiny for maintaining ties or soliciting funding from the disgraced financier.
The primary AI professors and researchers named include:
  • David Gelernter (Yale University): A Yale computer science professor specializing in AI, who faced a review and was relieved of teaching. Unsealed documents revealed a 6-year correspondence (2009–2015) in which he sought Epstein's business advice and commented inappropriately on an undergraduate student.
  • Itamar Arel (University of Tennessee): A former associate professor of computer science who headed UT's Machine Intelligence Lab. Emails show he communicated extensively with Epstein between 2009 and 2016 regarding the development of AI-powered facial recognition software and humanoid robotics funded by the Epstein VI Foundation.
  • Marvin Minsky (MIT): The late co-founder of MIT's AI lab, who appeared in several emails in the Epstein files regarding meetings, phone calls, and events celebrating his life.
  • Roger Schank (Carnegie Mellon University): The late Carnegie Mellon administrator and AI researcher, who maintained a long-term relationship with Epstein. The released documents revealed he frequently reached out to Epstein for personal and financial advice.
The AI weirdos are the "Epstein class." They've been obsessed with this stuff for decades. It's all tied together.

Not into this, and you really should not be doing this Capcom. You already have more than enough money and funding to not even need it. Do you really wanna see yourself start losing all that money you worked so hard to gain back, along with the decent will?

That's where the major concerns are for most people, not only here, but everywhere else who don't like this.
I mean, I say it because stuff like the Order 33 AI drama which was genuinely over some dumb stuff like some textures.

I know they used that whole place holder texture thing, but that's still not a good sign that they waited until the last minute to say something, and after the awards. I'm glad people enjoy the game, but that still bothers me.

Same thing with Crimson Desert. It's an absolutely massive game but since there was some AI art in some random buildings most players will probably never even enter, people got mad over it and they removed it. I think a lot of these devs are using AI in a lot less obvious ways and aren't admitting it because they're afraid of the backlash. When they do disclose that they're using AI, they try to sugarcoat it and make it as digestible to the AI weary public as possible.
