Translation Credits: Released by: Gu4n Language: English Status: Fully Translated Patch Version: v1.0 Date: 30 Nov 2017 Source and details: https://gu4n.github.io/br2/ I highly recommend the emulator Neko Project 21/W for playing on Windows. It's the most feature complete emulator for the NEC PC-9801 and is in active development receiving frequent updates. Use this guide for help on how to obtain and configure the emulator.

Oh, the one I highly recommended and linked to on the post doesn't need to be installed. You just run it from the folder. You should read up the guide from gangfight that I hyperlinked as "this guide". I also said some noteworthy things about it in the description for the Mime game post
Downloading right now, haha! xd/ Thx a lot to clear my doubts, bro, :d¡ And I will also read the guide and the Mime description too, now I have curiosity about that, :)?

Plop! x¡D I had a déja vu again, lol, x'dd. Another guy told me the same about emulating on smartphones when I asked him something similar, haha! I guess the word "portable" actually has changed to new contexts, :'), but let me explain my question: when I ask for portable emulators I mean emulators that do not need to be installed on the PC, but on a pendrive istead, :d. This way allow to use the emulators on various PCs more comfortably and conveniently, I think, but I'm a newbie to the PC-98 scene, that's why I'm asking, :')?

Honestly there really aren't any worth a crap, but I suppose you could try using the Neko Project II Kai core included in the Android or iOS versions of RetroArch. It's sad but that's just the state of PC-98 emulation atm when it comes to mobile. I've used that core before but it's just not as satisfying performance wise compared to the 21/W version. The normal version of Neko Project II is also way more out of date compared the 21/W which gets several updates a month including beta builds. I'd also imagine on mobile the mouse emulation would be tedious unless you use a bluetooth mouse

This is such an underrated Falcom series. I played through Brandish 1 and 2 last year, and I was really impressed at how much fun I had with them both. I'm planning to play 3 and maybe Brandish VT this year once I finish Ys IX.

What portable emulator do you recommend to play PC-9801 games? :d?

I've been waiting on that translation for 3 for so long. Luckily, it doesn't really need a translation to play it.
