Blaze and Blade Busters is a PS1 Japan-exclusive title and the sequel to Blaze and Blade: Eternal Quest, which was released in Europe. This patch is fully playable. Released By Ben128 Version 1.0 Release Date 2026 March 18 Known Issues: Character names are not translated in the “Mingle” menu. This is because the game uses these names to determine which portrait to display. This issue only affects this menu and does not impact gameplay. Some translations are shortened or less accurate. The prequel of this game is the game that spoiled me

Seeing a character bearing your name, close to your appearance just owning it onscreen made me prefer games that have character customization/edit; it's like being isekai'ed before the isekai boom

That was the first game I played with full character editing, and now its sequel appears; now I need to find a good emu...
Duckstation should be able to handle it fine

they made this with in a year of the first game ? hope it wasn't a rush job that's very short development time

One of my proteges lent me Blaze and Blade during the PSX supremacy era; it sucked in terms of graphics, but the game itself—the story, combat system, etc.—was cool. I enjoyed it very much. And now, more than 25 years later, I can finally play the sequel. :)

Weird, I wonder if this was easier to work on than other games or if the people who worked on it were just big fans.
I might give it shot at some point, so if anyone related to the project sees this then, thank you!

Oh Hell's yes! these games had a Gran stream Saga meets Brave fencer Musashi feel even a bit of the classic days of SNES style.
