A brilliant hack that lowers the absolutely mind-boggling encounter rate of this early PS1 RPG to levels that actually allow the game to be properly enjoyed, rather than simply suffered through. Additionally, Percy won't constantly leave the party, and gold acquisition rate has been increased.

sometimes I see something even mildly interesting and then notice that it has an AI cover, or it was translated with AI, and then I keep wondering: if they didn't give enough of a shit to properly represent this work and just resorted to low-effort poorly made crap, why the fuck should I? lol

Oh dude, this is very cool. this was originally one of the games that made me want a playstation. I don't remember the encounters being too too high, but I also like to play my rpgs where I take a lot of time to grind. What I do remember is that almost nobody I ever meet has heard of this game, but it's one I would always recommend. This and Shadow Madness. I love Shadow Madness.

I have this game when I was a kid, the random encounter doesn't bother me but during puzzle this where I get annoyed in encounter I want to finished this game.

i had to try it by default without any patch to understand...
yeesh, i understand fighting to grind but there's a limit lol.
idc, call me casual or cheater or whatever, high encounter rates suck in any game.
especially in a game you DON'T need to grind that hard.
you'd be surprised how LOW of a level you can beat most FF games and Dragon quest games
High encounter rates don't mean difficulty or challenge, it's just a major annoyance. You can be sure most RPGs could use patches like these.

I wouldnt mind high encounter rates when the combat goes very fast and the enemies are squishy but hit hard .
This would make grinding way less painful but still requires team- management to keep your team alive and well .

I actually love this game, lots of memories, not on my list of favorites but finished it nonetheless. The last dungeon before the finale was a nightmare with no guide.

The dungeon puzzles in this game are really annoying and it's a shame because I think it might be Sakuraba's best soundtrack.

No mention of increased exp to compensate for the lower encounter rate? I'm not sure that's an improvement then since that would just break the game's difficulty balancing.
