I'm looking for the best CRT filter on DuckStation—and most importantly, the most realistic one—for playing Castlevania: SOTN. Any recommendations?

Whether something is “the most realistic” really depends on what kind of TV you had as a kid :) I had a black-and-white TV that I used to play Nintendo on, but even with the black-and-white shader I found in RetroArch, I couldn't get anywhere near that look.

In Duckstation i play with Newpixie, it works fine for me.

Royale is my favourite. If you want to make it more like your old TV set, you can change the type of scanline you're emulating in the settings.

Hello, probably not THE best but I love it.

I use a mix of these: (Scanlines - abs & anti -aliasing/ fxaa

I second this, a few emulators support the Royale shaders, and they're typically the ones I find the most pleasing.

I haven't seen a CRT shader yet that actually resembles a real CRT tv.
