best movie based video games

Over The Hedge's Console versions are one of the best platformers i've played, the GCN disk i got? Scratched of overuse!, granted, it was burnt from a cheap blank, still...

Unlike most games of the era that retold the plot in a way to make it work as a game, this one has a unique plot set after the movie's events, combat is fuid, controls are responsive and smooth and platforming is great

"Most" might be going a bit far. The only property I can think of in J that was movie-based is Hades Project Zeorymer... Even that might count as an OVA. The rest were firmly series and OVAs.

-_- That is the rub. Some that were Ova, later are re-released as movies especially overseas. Sometimes reversed as well. I know Gundam Wing Endless Waltz (is actually used in 23 SRW games maybe more) and that is been both a ova and movie.

I loved the whimsy in the Star Wars & Pirates of the Caribbean games.

Goldeneye is always a classic. NES Batman was pretty fun.

I've never played any, but I've heard great things about the Alien games, especially Alien: Isolation.

Man, everyone picked about most the games I'd mention.

Here's one though. Aeon Flux on PS2. Really fun combat. Actually surprised that movie got a game, and that it was good. Still think the original show was better than the movie, but the movie wasn't bad.

IMHO Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is better than the first one, plot is less memorable, but they polished gameplay

It's a lot like Top Gun (also on PS1).

I actually have some nostalgic affection for it, but it's also not good... ID honestly feels like a reskin of TG.

I have a distinct aversion to dookie. I actually find ID kinda fun. But I only played through it once after watching the Nerd video and getting curious. Honestly? You want a not-so-bad, overhated type of game? Watch an AVGN video and try the game he covers out. Most of them aren't even that bad. Except Bible Adventures that one is bad lol.

It a pretty fun Pac-Man-ish game with a bit of Metal Gear Solid stealth thrown into it (since Konami actually developed this version, unlike the below average console versions)
