Best Friends Hello GIF by Best Friends Animal Society

Anyhow you probably know the gist of it
Rural:Close to Nature Farms Cree...Nice people lovely people with nothing to hide you watch to many Movies what you mean Bloodriver village sounds dangerous you worry to much.
Anyway also Bad to Okay Internet are to expected normally a closer smaller communities I also hope you like Apple pie and Socializing you are going to do a lot of it.Low Polution often Better air and the next city is far away.

Suburban:Often not far from a City often just the Outskirts of a City okay to good Internet can be expected normally.Nice Backyards and BBQ Parties also socializing fam so hope you like that you not far from City so Job opportunities are not bad normally the Houses tend to be more Expensive than on a Urban Town or Village and prepare for weird Neighborhood Regulations and the Counsel Tax or what I heard they have over there.

Urban: Noisy hell full with crime okay okay I am going to be more fair. Clubs and Parties are many and the Internet is normally good to great there.Houses are Expensive as fuck but hey you got Apartments who are also expensive as fuck depending on the City but maybe you get a nice view on the City Skyline or a nice view towards a brick wall.Jobs are plenty and Ironically better suited for Introverts because by so many people they won't give a crap if you Socialize or not and it will not be as noticable as ina Rural or Suburban Town.

Those where my quick description maybe not perfect but you get the Idea right fam.

I me self would say I rather life in a Rural Town fuck those Cities humbly a City born Person.

I dislike people and technology, cabin in the woods is the ideal, can compromise with rural living cause I know my family doesn't like solitude as much as I do.

I already live like a monk (who plays videogames), so no much change.

Rural gang assemble.
For me its because I hate the Crime Architecture and noise in Cities had and have to endure it often enough.
And in Rural areas there more sense of Community and well often better Air and less noise and the Buildings don't look like Little Timmy's building block set but in grey. Also despite my lazy Introvert butt I would love run a Farm alla Harvest Moon I don't give a crap about parties I never visit them anyway.

Funny little typo I did there

Rural ( I go get me Pa and me Pa and life on a ye old Farm)

I meant I go get me Pa and me Ma but typos are my eternal curse I fear especially when I can't correct it anymore afterwards.

I don't really have an ideal because there's a tradeoff with everything. Or, my ideal doesn't exist: a street where my friends all live so it's easy to get together, but the street is far enough away from other people so that we can make noise if we want to without getting in trouble. Also the street is close enough to shopping and major events that we can walk to everything. Also it's always like 65 and teasing rain. Also there's free money.

whatever we have in Europe with apartments buildings and stores right next to the actual forest, bike lanes everywhere, big enough to have kebabs and stores everywhere but small enough to not be infested with beggars and noise pollution, 5-15 km away from the actual city but not like an amercian suburb with single family housing which would be ABSOLUTE HELL to live in

in other words when it come to urbanism where I am right now is already perfect, and I can't answer that poll because the closest thing would be sub urban but depending on which side of the Atlantic you are, is the exact OPPOSITE

edit: OP weren't you German ? why make such an American thread ?

I live rural, so that's what I'm used to. I don't live close enough to anything, so getting the things I need to live is a bit inconvenient, but I'd still rather that than a large urban city.

I've had to travel to a few urban cities over the years if I wanted stuff like anime, manga, comic books or to visit conventions. It was only post COVID that my local town started getting any of that stuff.

Suburban of course. The other two choices are extremes with severe downsides. Suburban is the comfortable middle ground that has zero downsides. It's the only correct choice.

Weren't ? I did not know I could stop being German ;) Anyway sure Le Suburbs are more a murican concept but we have something similar I would call it that where I live technically in the City but more on the outskirts with more Houses and nature.Anyhow I did not know I need to be a American to make American threads. Also in Germany I think many of out towns are more Suburban as they are very close to cities really rural Towns far from Cities away do exist to.Also urban Suburban and rural a good way to classify them I would say.But sure European suburban is very different from the one back in America.

I grew up in an urban environment, but honestly something like this is my dream home. I'm a city boy with the heart and soul of a country boy 😔

I remember the first time I saw Ferris Bueller's Day Off, I really liked Cameron's house. I'd be happy with something like this too.

Being on support struts like that on an angled landscape would set off my anxiety:loldog I couldn't live in a house on an angle or overlooking a cliffside. I love the idea of living in a forest though!

When I think of houses in the woods I think of serial killers, sasquatches, bears, aliens, and other weird things that dwell in remote areas LOL

I prefer staying close to civilization thank you very much

I like the suburbs. I'm from a small farming town and hated it. I moved to a town of 60,000 and it was almost ideal, but I wanted more concerts and stuff. Now I'm in a 100,000 person ish suburb and there's a little too much traffic now but it's not bad. 10 years ago it felt perfect, now it's needlessly expensive and getting more crowded.

Ideally if I won the lottery, I'd buy land on the outskirts of one of the western Portland settlements and build a bunch of small and/or tiny houses for any friends and family that wanted to live in a small community. It'd be quiet enough and peaceful but close enough to lots of stuff. Sadly I am not a lotto winner so my Suikoden-esque pipe dream remains just that.

My brain is built for rural but my needs require urban. I don't want to drive and would prefer a shop/market not a gas station within walking distance that doesn't take me an hour.

Walking through suburbs gives me the heebie jeebies ngl

I actually prefer urban although I like coastal places the most

I always grew up with the suburbs so naturally it's my favorite kind of area to live in, rural seems nice tho but I'm no city boy.

I'm all for nature. I love nature with all my heart. If I could, I would live away from society like in one of those cabins in the woods where I have no nearby neighbors. I'm kinda' a hermit but a silly gentle nice one. Not only that, I really REALLY hate extreme bass and how some people think it sounds good. Nobody needs that ever. I don't mean the mild stuff either such as a drive by person enjoying their tunes, I mean the neighbor who lives a couple houses away that thumps so hard that it buries itself in your head from inside your closed up house. The kind of bass that makes you feel like just up stair neighbor kids would be paradise compared. I had to deal with that twice before 'til mom and I finally moved out to a more country like area where bass is just bass and not a health risk. Due to aspergers and other mental complications though, I have always craved solitude.

Um. Excuses me? I AM that sam-squanch. Joke.

I have this unruly desire to live in an apartment above a cafe/bookstore/antique shop that I run, so urban?
