Was thinking about this during a recent 60 Minutes segment covering Boston Dynamics' "Atlas", a fully autonomous robot that uses AI.

Much like dinosaurs, I've always been incredibly fascinated by robots and anything mechanical in general. I remember watching this PBS documentary (that I sadly haven't been able to find online) that talked about them and showed off Honda's Asimo, which I've always desperately wanted to own. But sadly they made it more of a company mascot over the years and never intended for it to be mass-produced

Then there's Sony's Aibo! An adorable robo-puppy that had the ability to learn. Unfortunately way out of the price range of a 10 year old (but one can still dream!)

What about you guys? Any favorite mechanical thingamahbobs, real or imaginary?

I really like how much this mechanical industry has improved over the years. From literal dog mimicking robots being used in multiple ways, to making a fully immersed robot for helping humans. One could had only imagined this, yet here we are now. I still want a dinosaurs robot that can be rode on.

As always, I'm just waiting until we get the giant mechs

I've also previously talked about my love for Metarot/Medabots. Love the idea of tiny robots, especially ones that can battle each other

One that I also don't see talked about much Cubix, which I thought was a pretty neat Korean anime

I do like robots. My favourite is Wall-E. So much so that I tried building him. I had a tiny solar-powered robot that looked like him. It only needed a flap on the front and different wheels. Too bad it broke after a while.
I also have one of those brickheads of Wall-E

Why yes, I do love robots. I for one welcome our new robot overlords!
