Are you guys exciting to Onimusha 2 remastered

More ways to get hands on classics is always good. The QOL of the remaster like being able to skip cutscenes are gonna be useful for a revisit.

onimusha 2 is the weakest of the first 3 imo (not considering dawn of dreams because it is really different from the others)

If it's anything like the first remaster, then yeah, I'm here for it!

I'm not hot and bothered about Onimusha, but if it makes people happy, I say it's a good thing it's being remastered.

remasters are great for getting more people to play the game, but for me personally, if all that's done is a graphics upgrade, then I'm not that interested. Id rather just play the original.

Not to mention a lot of emulators support both upscaling and texture replacement.

Onimusha 3 remastered, coming 2031
I can already predict the Capcom's PR agent rethreaded speech:
"We want to sincerely apologize to fans, but since our last product failed to meet acceptable sales targets, the Onimusha 3 Remaster is now on indefinite hiatus."

Was at first but then saw denuvo so not anymore.

Yeah, everything by Capcom has had it for a while, and like Sega, that ain't changing.
I just find it stupid to use DRMs on re-releases of decade old games. Like who are you "saving" the sales from? They did the same with Ace Attorney games, which I can easily emulate on my phone. It annoys the heck out of me cause everytime I have to wait for them to remove DRM so I can buy it.

i haven't played Onimusha in ages but I loved what I played. This would be a good opportunity to get back into the series.

I loved it, had so much fun.

Hell yeah. Dawn of Dreams is my fave, but 2 was the first one I played. I remember it for having branching storylines based on which of the supporting cast you befriended. Plus - "Gogandantess, the greatest swordsman of all demons!".

I'm sure they'll do 3 as well, but anyone think they'd do Blade Warriors? I loved Blade Warriors, had a ton of fun with it.

The upcoming release of the Onimusha 2 remaster is a sign from god that I should finally boot up my copy of the Onimusha 1 remaster. I expect to fall in love with it.

i got all them games on pcsx2, upscaled and with better textures, lol

they should stop remastering stuff, and start putting effort, into make new games instead, lmao

You could skip cutscenes in the original games except in the very first one which they ironically didn’t change for the remaster…

I’m cautiously optimistic. The couple of qol improvements they gave the first game made it a much better experience overall. 2 has always been my favorite by far but I don’t really have a crt tv right now or a fast enough pc to play the original, so I’ll probably bite eventually when it’s on sale.

I think Onimusha 3 is gonna be more difficult to license due to Jean Reno‘s likeness. Iirc he wasn’t too fond of games in general.

Um, I have to be honest here. I think Onimusha 2 is god awful. Just like DMC2, although DMC2 is an extra level of bad. The 1 and 3 are the ones worth playing. I could go on and on about why its so mediocre, but I dont feel like wasting the energy. It's just a creatively bankrupt mess of a game that feels like it was directed with someone who had no business directing games.
