From what we've seen so far from the big reveal, With tons of games getting announced to new features of the device, there were some dealbreakers for most of us, pricing, features, capabilities and more

are you gonna buy it still ? If no, what's your Dealbreaker, and what's one thing Nintendo can do to win you over ?

Not buy, so far games reveal are for me underwhelming, mostly port of aaa games i can play on every other hardware and games i dont care anyway, and i struggle to find a reason to switch from my switch to the switch 1.5 they showed us

Yeah, I can understand that

In fact I think it more about price. I won't buy it because I never can buy a console.
Can I ask you a question? How make you eyes with characters? I see this in game FAQ a lot! I wonder how they make?

Nah, I think I'll just stick to the first Switch and my older Nintendo consoles.. lmao

I was already kind of done with Nintendo anyways after they shut down the 3DS/WiiU because I knew it was only gonna go down hill from there

Definitely somewhere down the line, but I'm not hard pressed for new games/systems right now, and none of the revealed games look like ultra-must-haves yet to me, even though both Mario Kart and Donkey Kong looks fun.

I didn't get the Switch at release either, so it's no biggie yet.

I'm pretty torn. I love the design and when it got leaked I jumped to "most definitely buying it" from just the looks of it and what it offered as far as physical design. The original Nintendo Switch Joy cons break so easy and come loose. I've fixed this issue, however it is reoccurring for me.. I don't like all these extra cost and walls they are building with the new release. It seems like Xbox as others have said. It makes me really sad. If you're buying a 500 dollar console, you would think they would be a bit more considerate with how they are planning to do their pricing and subscriptions. I don't know. Greed is a sickness in this world. Always has been.

Oh, it's just a simple text art, you can google Text Art and search for the one you like, mines is Sharingan eyes

Here's the thing, I want to, but I probably won't unless I see some news about either a price decrease to games or NSO getting some insane update akin to XBox Game Pass for it to be even slightly worth it.
The deal breaker is undeniably the game prices. I said this in a different thread, but Switch being "underpowered" is it's strongest point, it makes the console relatively affordable (yes, $450 after a $300 console isn't actually that far of a prince increase, sadly that $50 in that 450 are probably for that shitty ass camera that no one will use but hey, there's always gotta be some trash gimmick like this that drives up the price for no reason.)
Switch is the only console worth buying. There, I said it. Go ahead, call me a shill call me a paid actor but the PS5 has no games, Series S/X is just a cheap PC and there's nothing else on the market. Now what happens when the Switch, the only affordable console and the only console with exclusives prices those exclusives at a king's ransom? It starts not being worth it. So now the only thing worth buying is a PC and a PS5 controller to pair with it. The only reason I see someone unironically wasting money on a PS5 is if they've been on PS4 their entire life before and they want to transfer everything they've got onto the PS5. It was never about hardware, if it was we'd all be buying PCs. Its about the fact the Switch is portable and has good exclusives and is again, affordable and its other biggest strong point being that its the family console. Something for everyone, even my grandma.
So where does this leave us? The games are overpriced, they'll have overpriced DLCs, the physical copies do not come with the game but install the game onto your system, NSO is still a pile of overpriced worthless garbage even with GameCube, it cost $20 per game to upgrade from Switch to Switch 2 edition, which even then with what they showed with BoTW makes pretty much no difference other than an FPS increase (I straight up do not care about "muh graphics" anymore, especially not when its a visually distinct and stylised game like BoTW. I never liked those shaders people used on Cemu, looked like every other slop triple A title with them. But that's just a me thing anyway)
It having a dedicated cooler in the dock and it being able to push out 120FPS at 4K while docked is great news. Again, everything about the console is great, the price, the (assuming) quality, the look, the library. Its all great. But the game prices, the fact you don't even own your games physically even if you buy them physically, the NSO, the software (hopefully it won't be the same as Switch 1, but if it is that's a whole different beast we have to talk about). Its all bad.
Its such a mixed bag, but as things stand now I won't be buying it. Sorry for the long rant and sorry if I've offended anyone with my PS5 comments since every time I tell someone they bought a useless overprieced piece of garbage with no games on it they get mad. God bless emulation and God bless retro consoles and handhelds, I'll be on my PSP and DS still even after 10 years of the Switch 2's release, while I'm already ready to abandon my Switch. Should tell you enough.

The nail in the coffin beeing the not full backward compatibility
Wait what? Am I missing something? I thought they said you can play all your Switch games on Switch 2. At least the exclusives. You just have to pay the extra 20 to upgrade them to 120fps 4K. Please tell me that all my old games are playable...

Yeah, pricing is sure a doozy in this economy

no i think all of them are playable but yeah the upgraded version is a pay wall initially

Eventually, yeah. I already mentioned I'd probably ask for it for my birthday, but my bf offered to be a guinea pig to give my server essentially a free tech demo since he's probably gonna get it the earliest out of all of us because he wants the new Donkey Kong game.

I am hoping that I will be able to put in a Switch 1 cartridge and play it on the system, since I really want to still be able to play my Switch 1 games, even if they don't have upgraded versions.

I won't and even if I wanted to I can't, I don't have enough money lying around to justify the cost. The more info that I learn about it the less it becomes appealing even if I could get it.

The game-keys and the price point is a huggggee problem for me. I went with Nintendo stuff because their consoles are usually the cheapest. The only reason I dealt with their bs is because that's the only console I had. If they drop the price and have proper physical game releases maybe I'll get it, but I doubt their greed would have them do that.

Very unlikely to get a day one Switch 2 console for me... 😦
I liked a lot yesterday's official presentation, but I'll still wait for more news...
Maybe prices rectifications, or even a future better model with more storage capability, longer battery or an improved model with oled screen (it is said that oled screens reduce battery consumption compared to leds)...
Almost 500 bucks for a console with a similar power than Microsoft's Series S (but portable, but I rarely play portable), 90 bucks per exclusive game, games focused on younger players than me, 90 bucks for an official pro controller, Nintendo Online still working on pedals...
I'll give time to time to see how things will go, and then I'll decide, but just like I've said in the beginning, not probably day one.

Mario Kart seems cool, DK seems cool, new FromSoft game seems great. But the price is too great. In my country, it will be too pricey ,after conversions, with salaries the way they are here. And the price of the games do not compensate the price of the console.
I wonder if the extra income that the new price will bring will really compensate the loss in market share.

I bought PS5 simply so I could have physical games but seriously, even I advise against buying PS5, or any console for that matter if you don't have any 'must play' exclusives.
