Are there any games you're ashamed of liking and/or disliking?

I'm kinda sad to admit that I didn't like Tales of Arise, at first I wasn't sure what I could bring to this topic because I had honestly forgotten about it, but I really was sad that I couldn't get into it since it seemed like such a beloved game. I've tried to play through it like 2 times now and I just keep bouncing off of it. The combat isn't very fun, the characters honestly feel bland and the voice acting (for English, that is) feels lacking in emotion.
I coudn't get into Arise either, the story genuinely sucks and doesn't have the oomph to give it the necessary emotion, similar to how you pointed out the lack of great voice acting.

I think I only really liked Rinwell, but i'm very much biased for all mages in these games. I loved that SAO collab fight though.

I heard Tales to Arise is just a bad bitch to play through in the end. I actually don't like the Tales or Trails series all that much it seems (as much as I'd like) hah Tales to Berseria is awesome. A lot of people do hate GTA V because it just became GTA:O. The last GTA I cared about was IV and ya see a lot of fandom for that lately. Ummm I think want to post more about embarrassment.

I am never too cool for anything, heck. Well I remember in 2002 or something I was considering buying a Linkin Park poster lol. That was a long time ago. Anyhow the Hybrid Theory is still awesome. I never wanted to give Tales to Arise that shot yet. Not sure why. Trails and Tales lmao. I had more GTA opinions but hah I need a "place for my head."

You try to take the best of me go away!!!! Trails just doesn't stop talking. :P I love a lot of Trails games, but I am done still. The Cold Steel and Zero games tested my patience. I have Trails 1 on PSP and all this nice stuff I got since I bought it from them.

This is a weird, I reverse sick of mostly Trails. It's good but not that good for all this padding now.

Yeah me too, I’ve always liked Red Mages, personally. Defending yourself in cqc with a rapier in one hand and attacking long range with spells in the other is just so badass to me. And yeah I’ve never really gotten into SAO (i tried fatal bullet a couple times and bounced off it), but I’ve been working my way through the .Hack series and I’m enjoying it quite a lot.

I'm ashamed that I'm not better at the original Mario games. I never really knuckled down and mastered them as a kid, now I'm too embarrassed to struggle with them as an adult.
I can play through Donkey Kong and Crash Bandicoot in my sleep, but I never finished a mainline Mario game.

Nobody's perfect with any game and there were games I didn't beat or beat till years later. Some are more worth it than others, but at least for the older games, you can use save states.
