I'm learning the drums on my mpc mx4000. I have years left before I'll be good but I'm doing it everyday. Took me a long time to get over my fear of learning it. Nearly gave up a bunch of times and thought about selling it. But I have had some break through and will be able to make some actual beats soon. My songs will be better and more expressive if it's my own beats.

I'm trying to get back into making pixel/sprite art. I've been focusing mostly on illustration for so long that I'm super rusty. It's tough having to be so economical with tiny sprites but it's also very fun.

I still have yet to give pixel art and attempt. I'm on my art journey too. I have this painting im doing. I need to find a way to paint metallic sheen for some chains in the image.

German,
because, you know, das ist lustig.

Jokes aside,
After a pointless degree in foreign languages and literatures, I've decided to enrol into a two year long specialisation program in biochemistry.

The plan is to become a lab technician and move to Germany.

I've retaken Mandarin and honestly it just makes me so full of joy. At the same time, it also makes me feel kinda bad about myself not to be studying and immersing as much as I could, but whatever progress I make feels great.

Finally stopped letting hang ups get in the way and have been pursuing my game dev dreams. I'm terrible at it, but it's so incredibly satisfying.
Never give up at something you truly want to succeed at.

Recovering my drawing training, now i can FINALLY make passable angles, see you when i can properly shadow shapes in 2125
I have not got to shadows either. That really reminds me of how far behind I am on my own art training.

I don't know if it counts as a skill but I am starting to exercise, all my life I was very lazy but it didn't really affect me because I was not obese and I had no health problems but I have reached an age where I am noticing how this lack of physical condition is starting to hurt me, I lasted almost 9 months of picker in Amazon and my feet were extremely painful.

About a more classical skill I don't know if I should learn French or sign language.

I do physical labour everyday and I practice my kicks. I love to do aerial and spin kicks.

How to dance
Dancing is way more important than people think, it's truly freeing.

I'm slowly getting into acrylic and watercolor painting, but I'm not too satisfied with my results so far. Still, I'm going to stick with it.
Awesome, it's best not to expect fast results when trying to build a skill. It's not about doing it for hours and making something to impress people, it's about impressing yourself and going beyond your own self imposed limitations.

I resumed development on a game I was making in AGS and resumed learning to program 20+ years too late.
I'm right there with you. Have been trying to become a game dev for most of my life, but always got hung up in one way or another. Finally said "now or never" and have been at it steadily for the past 4+ months. I'm terrible, but I love it.

Not a "new" skill because I played years ago, but getting back into guitar/bass. Trying to learn some favorites (particularly Silent Hill and Shin Megami Tensei songs) and maybe start to make some of my own stuff.
