Anyone currently reading comics?

I know Juan Giménez's work better. If you liked The Metabarons, you'll enjoy it, although in some of them you can really notice the passage of time. As de Pique is a bit boring.
I love As de Pique but gave my copy to Howard Chaykin as a gift, in his first visit to Argentina. There's an european album of Gimenez about videogames, here's a little bit of info and images (i have the two-part edition published in Fierro):
I'm reading different comics at the same time, both local and international, but i suggest to read this one: The Last Day of H.P Lovecraft, a must-have for every fan of this writer and his world. Here's a page:
The Last Day of H.P. Lovecraft 02 (of 05) (2025) (Digital Rip) (Hourman-DCP)-010.jpg

I have a lot of catching up to do with 2000 AD, starting with Judge Dredd (shame on me). I guess I'll start with something less extensive, like Jaegir. Any recommendations?
Definitely Third World War for starters. Also Aquila, Finn, Button Man, Slaine: The Horned God, The Fall Of Deadworld series, Red Razors, Young Death: Boyhood Of A Super-Fiend, and Chopper: Earth, Wind, and Fire

Just curious if there's anything folks are reading and enjoying right now, DC's All In...initiative, I guess you call it, has been pretty decent. The standouts of course being the Absolute Batman/Wonder Woman/Superman books, and The Question: All Along the Watchtower had a really interesting debut.

Dark Horse just had a title wrap up called Helen of Wnydhorn, by the creative team from Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. The artwork is achingly gorgeous, and fits perfectly with a book telling a story that alternates between gothic and pulp fantasy.

There's also a new Star Trek: Lower Decks ongoing series from Ryan North, of Squirrel Girl fame. It was a funny first issue, and should help fill the void when the series ends in a couple weeks, best modern Star Trek and it's not even close.

There's an Image ongoing called The Power Fantasy, and it's so far shaping up to be another fantastic series by Kieron Gillen (along with Caspar Wijngaard, who I believe was his partner on the Doctor Aphra series, one of the best additions to Star Wars). I've never read anything of Gillen's I haven't fallen in love with. I was recently gifted the first trade paperback for his "D&D Jumanji" series, DIE, and ran out to buy the rest the second I finished.

Marvel's post Krakoa X-Men launch has been pretty mild, with the exception of Gail Simone's Uncanny X-Men. Marvel's most interesting right now though is probably The Immortal Thor by Al Ewing, the best Thor book since Jason Aaron's Thor: God of Thunder run.

That's all I got off the top of my head, anyone reading? (Comics, I mean read books too, the library will just give them to you.)
Get Comics is AMAZING. Just leaving that here. ;-)

I'm reading a comic called "Porky's revenge", I don't like what the main character is implying.

Needed some new house shoes and also needed something to get over the golden "35 dollar free shipping" mark with Amazon, so I bought these two beauties. Really been wanting to read American Splendor and anything by R. Crumb for a while

I've been absolutely loving the Absolute Batman series and just recently got the paperback of Vol. 2! I also bought the artist-edition of the one-shot where Batman beats the ever loving shit outta some nazis. That and the "Godzilla Destroys The Marvel Universe" series.

You ever read Moon Knight by chance? MacKay's run is endlessly good

kind of funny i didnt see this thread earlier but i did start getting into the medium last year and the standouts for me were probably these two

a really interesting horror miniseries that i think could benefit from more eyes on it
has heavy sexual themes and was kind of eye opening for someone sort of new to these ideas

an interesting read with a unique art style that i kinda wish went on for longer

I read the DC comic Kingdom Come for the first time a few months ago, and... I was amazed by the beauty of the drawings. It looked like what we call "fotoromanzi" (photo novels), as we call them in Italy—comics made with photographs of real people. I wish there were more comics like that. And the plot is interesting too; I would have loved to see something similar in a movie version, but when you have bosses who don't understand anything...

I have 700+ Spider-Man comics from the '60s to about 2020 to read, I'll probably start doing so this year xD

I read something like that a while ago. But somehow I lost interest in it. I don't know, I just felt kind of childish.

Segata Sanshiro? nice gif

Yes. I've been reading quite a few superhero comics here and there. Mainly ones that are either miniseries or one off storylines that can stand on her own, or you don't need previous issues to find out what's exactly going on. Recently i've read Green Lantern Far Sector, and currently, in the middle of Super Girl: Woman of Tomorrow. Far Sector is excellent, and I highly recommend anybody read this.

I also read more than a few marvel comics a few years ago Spider-Gwen (2014 run), the 2020s Shang-Chi Comics, and Defenders (2017 run).

Yessss this looks like such a sick series.
I have the first two issues of Moonknight (and the 7th thanks to a shipping error lmao) but haven't started them yet!

After reading the Gottfredson Mickey Mouse comic strip adventures, the ones published by Fantagraphics, there is really no incentive to read anything else featuring the mouse or the ducks.
And yes, I also read Barks, Rossa, the Disney Masters, plus the countless other stories from my childhood and teen years. At least the 30s and 40s stories are the best I ever read featuring Disney characters. During the 50s the publisher forced the authors to go into just gag territory and classic stories are far fewer inbetween.

That version of Mickey Mouse was made with adult audiences in mind, instead of the more toned down kids stuff in the common Mickey and Donald magazines.

At least Duckburg evolved over the years with new characters and plots, while Mickey formula ever since he became a detective with Goofy, stayed more or less the same. Also comics Mickey is much more varied character than the perfect mascot you see in TV animation. Perhaps Disney does not want that version to change.

A pity though that the Ducktales Reboot and Mickey Mouse still refuse to adapt any classic comics story.
Irony is that Ducktales Reboot adapted Della's background story from a short story by a Dutch artists and it was the best part of the series.

Also finished the French Chateau des Animaux, kinda like an upgraded version of Animal Farm for the second half of the 20th century and this century. Very good design and memorable characters and story. I think I liked it more than Animal Farm.

i am currently reading scott pilgrim i am in volume 7

After reading Calvin and Hobbes and Mafalda, one piece was missing so it is time to cover the gap:
All volumes of Peanuts.
Had stopped around 1954 some years ago, so still 46 years to go. Fortunately it is an easy read.
I know later years the strip repeats itself but I do not mind
