I'm an OG duel masters fan so seeing a card with that requires "infinite" mana to summon and also infinite attack gave me a chuckle. How do you get this thing in the battle zone

its part of the "team zero" series of cards which has its boss monsters use an ability called "Mugen Climb" that has you tap x ammount of cards on the field and mana zone to play them.
so mugen climb 4 requires you to tap 4 mana cards and 4 creatures you control.

Damn, those Japanese cards look waaay different than the American ones I remember- and way cooler. Duel Masters was one of the TCGs I got really into collecting because it wasn't something that was everywhere like Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokémon. Never really played a game of it though, aside from the PS2 game.

Yea theres a reason for that, WOTC is infamously bad at managing games to the point where their incompetence is often mistaken for malice.
MTG and DnD only exist still due to name recognition

I know. TBH, I likely wouldn't have picked it up if it was well-known- I am definitely the kind of person who will deliberately avoid popular things simply because they are popular, though I never declare them to suck simply because they are popular, that's just stupid- I've never cared for MTG (ironic considering that Duel Masters was originally a manga adaptation of MTG, even if it was divorced from Magic for a couple years by the time I picked it up IIRC) because it has been one of the most popular TCGs for two decades now, and I got into to Duel Masters and Neopets because they weren't the three TCGs everyone was playing.

One of the reasons I got into GURPS more than DnD was because in the niche world that tabletop RPGs exist in, GURPS is in an obscure niche of the already niche hobby- though GURPS relation to Fallout and the fact that my father playtested it and various other SJ games in the Eighties probably clinched it. Well, that was quite a ramble.

i remember back in 2004 or 05 they where brought the anime and game and cards in the west. sure had potential be big but unfortunetly never took off. i played the game too. and still funny to this day this franchaise is still kicking only in japan. i followed on my nintendo switch japanese account had current duel master game free to play take on.
