Here's a super obscure RPG for you! Anito: Defend a Land Enraged is a role-playing video game based on Filipino mythology and folklore that was made by a company in the Philippines, Specifically Manila! A pretty cool thing on its own but they managed to pull of a pretty cool game on-top of that! It's definitely more story focused but the combat has some depth to it and building your character requires some planning!

Speaking of character you get to choose between two people, a male and a female, each with their own story they follow! Awesome already but you are also awarded points for things you do from the main quests to side quests that feels very early Sierra games likes Kings Quest and Space Quest. Can YOU score max points on your run?!

The simple fact that this was made by a Filipino studio shows they have potential in game dev. Maybe it's time for those big publishers to maybe look into funding a couple of projects in the Philippines to see the results. They don't need to be big games either. Plenty of indie studios in the US release gems that made triple their money back in less than a year without big publisher backing.

Worked perfectly for me with just the EXE. Installed it on my Windows XP VM first, patched it there and brought the files over to my Windows 10 to prep for the site.

Should be fine!

The point system is very much like that and even some of the puzzles could be too so maybe there was so inspiration! Also, I never got to experience Sierra On-line but I really wish I could have

Big fan of the old point n' click adventures myself! Especially when you mix RPG elements in there... looking at your Quest for Glory heh. Even met a few of the Sierra people as well at last years Portland Retro Gaming Expo.

Quest for Glory is still on my list of games to play. so many Sierra games are! Also wish I could go to these expo's.
