It’s a fact that lots of popular video games (both Japanese and western ones) get anime adaptions. And since anime and video games are two of my favorite hobbies (after all, Japanese video games and anime shares lots of elements from each other) I made a list with anime based on video games since there isn't any good list of that kind.

I like the Gungrave anime a lot.

I always loved that you can play with Lenka in God Eater Resurrection and use his weapons too.

The Persona series has had its ups and downs with animation. Persona 3 and 4 got really good animes with the Persona 3 movies being pretty enjoyable. Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 got notably crappy anime adaptations though.

I haven't played Persona 4 much and I haven't played Persona 5. But I've enjoyed their tv anime adaptions.

I see you chose to stick to family friendly stuff.

true, but you did say in your post, "anime based on games". it counts.
Exactly: it says "based on video games". Which means the video games came first and then they made anime adaptions of them. Multimedia franchise like hack means that media like anime, games, manga etc were first released at the same time.

Nah. Many of the anime adaptions that are on the list are for older audience because of the nudity, fanservice and gore. I even include anime based on hentai games like Utawarerumono. The ones I don't include at my list are ones based on visual novels unless they're also mixed with other genres like tactical rpg like Utawarerumono.

Devil may cry no not the netflix one
The Netflix show isn't even an anime but an American cartoon. And not even a good one since it's from same shitty creator who made Netflixvania.

Akiba's Trip The Animation based on Akiba´s strip game
I've never played the game and I don't know shit about the game. Still the anime is surprisingly good and one of my favorite ones. Cameos: Trump and Hilary as card games player and an Anita Sarkeesian parody.

Sands of Destruction not sure what came first the NDS game or the anime sense both has release date of 2008 and same month.
All these years I thought that the game was released first. Which is why it's on my list. However I just discovered at Wikipedia that it's a multimedia franchise. And like you mentioned the game and anime were released at the same time.

And if Fanimes count i think they are a handful of Touhou animations that recap the games
Super Mario and Animal Crossing anime movies are from my favorite ones.

Like I mention at my list already: only official anime count. Which is why the only Touhou anime at the list is the only one that was officially released at it was Tenchou x Touhou Project that unfortunately it's lost media.

However I should include at my list a link for all fan-made Touhou anime. Any good links?

whoops

Regarding the touhou link... no luck, at best i find a playlist that skips Touhou 6

AniDB has some of them but I bet there are more (2-3 anime on the results are unrelated with Touhou and just include the name Touhou at their titles):

I think there is a category on Retrocrush for anime based on games. but they also picked up some western cartoons in that category as well.

Lists like that only have a few popular anime. Also they include American cartoon like you mentioned. Which is why I started said list of mine.

theres a gnosia anime coming i wonder how thats going to turn out

Some of my favourites would be Sonic X and the Tales of Anime adaptations. Still holding out hope that the Crestoria manga gets adapted into an anime, that story was way too good to be doomed to a defunct gacha game.

The Xenosaga anime is middling, which is a shame because the Xeno- games are easily some of my favourites. I wouldnt mind if monolithsoft revisited the series with one of their newer Xeno games, xb1 in particular I think would make for a really good anime if left in the right hands. Or maybe if one of their other series got an adaptation...

Final Fantasy Unlimited is one that really deserved a better shot, genuinely a great premise that was abandoned at the altar. If you want to count Spirit Within and Kingsglaive then they sucked, I guess. I liked Advent Children Complete though. And while I'm at it, Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover probably doesnt count, but even still it bored me to sleep watching it. Square kinda sucks at adapting their franchises into anime, their manga is a different story altogether.

Fate/ is one that people seem to forget is adapted from a game series because most people are exposed to it through the anime. I think the fate games are pretty good, and I havent played Samurai Remnant yet that looks to be pretty fun. I think Fate/Extra and the Extella games are ok, but if Fate/Extra Record actually releases (pretty sure the game is cancelled) then I'll probably regard that as the new favourite.
