I used to be a mod there, but I got demoted & left.

I can't handle it either. Chat rooms in general are often feel like highway to infinity. Always moving really fast and either forcing you to harmonize with their speed, or kick you out to the side. Me, I always got kicked to the side

Like a bunch of new users I joined after reading the news on the CDRomance site. I used to lurk the Romhacking forums as well but after that went the way it went I was regretting not being more active in the community, so when I found this place I was pretty pleased. Also I love the interface its very well done. Highly inviting and nostalgic.
