After so many Giga leaks, which game prototype would you love to see get found and dumped?

Fire Emblem 64. The only remnants of the game leftover from the N64 title in FE6 is Roy and Karel. As far as I'm aware, this is the only image of the game released to the public.

A newer title: Scalebound on Xbox One. Any build of the canceled game would be nice for preservations sake.

Of course, the ever-elusive Final Fantasy Versus 13. Potentially the most controversial game for fans of Final Fantasy.

Any of the banjo kazooie betas (including project dream)
Which we know exists! Out there! In the hands of one of the devs.

Who keeps teasing it on Twitter rather than dumping it.

He has his reasons, I’m sure, but it makes me genuinely upset to know that it’s out there, functional, and isn’t available to the public.

Capcom Fighting All Stars.

Please.
We know a working prototype exists. It had a location test in Japan. I know it’s probably not the best, as it was heavily criticized at its location test, but it’s such a fascinating segment of Capcom fighting game history that it HAS to find its way out there someday. It almost feels like a missing piece to the puzzle that is the history of Capcom’s fighting division, as it was the game that introduced Ingrid, whom would later appear in Capcom Fighting Jam and Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX.

My picks would have to be for the canceled games Mercenaries 3 and StarWars Battlefront 3 reminding me of how much I despise EA for closing down some of my favorite studios.

The Toy Show Sonic 1 prototype will literally break the internet once it resurfaces.

It probably won't as it was lost, but I love to dream that it is out there.

I’d almost be more interested in finding another early Sonic version, possibly one with the band members and other early ideas in tact. That’s assuming those elements ever made it into a rom, as they could probably exist only as concept art. Still, if they did exist, it would shake reality.

Blur 2 and Scalebound for sure. Blur is one of the best kart racers ever made, and Scalebound has such a tangled history it's not even fun (it is a bit funny tho).

I know that the one with Sparkling got leaked not long ago.

I do wish we could get other games in the series leaked like SA1 on the Saturn.

I think Saturn SA1 never existed as a fully functioning prototype. Probably just individual elements.

I know you expect to hear this, but really: Sonic Jam is what came of that work. That, and renders that are very beautiful.

Is there a SA1 on the Saturn? I believe that they simply were testing the idea of a 3D Sonic game on the Saturn with Jam, and immediately started developing SA1 at least with Dreamcast hardware in mind.

I did find that prototype with Sparkling Zone to be pretty sick. Never thought we would ever see anything like that anytime soon.

Technically yes. As I said, Sonic Jam’s Sonic World uses a majority of the assets created. From what we know, no rom was ever compiled, just random assets and a desire to create a vaguely Mayan themed adventure. They realized the Dreamcast would be what they would need to realize such an idea, possibly around mid 97 or so, and the project was pushed to that hardware. Somewhere in there, infamously, is the trip the crew took to South America to get references for the game. I think the render I posted is what came of all that. Possibly as a render-storyboard of sorts to show what they wanted to do and what they wanted it to look like.

All Resident Evil 4 drafts, including ones dating back to the DMC era would be neat. Scalebound too, I want to see as a finished game with Hideki Kamiya as director. Super Mario Sunshine drafs would be cool too.

edit: There was a time I was fascinated with Luigi's Mansion beta as well, that would be cool to see as well.

altho after playing pillars of eternity it feels like they ended up utilizing a lot of concepts & maybe assets from this cancelled project

and for a newer title, Life by You from Paradox interactive!!!!

this was supposed to be their sims competitor & was headed by Rod Humble who worked on the sims 2/3. it was reportedly pretty close to being released before the studio was shut down and all the devs laid off 🙃 we live in a society

I mean. You really want a DLC fight between EA and Paradox over who gets more money from Kits and "Expansions"?

Lufia 3: Ruins Chaser. The cancelled PS1 Lufia game that was eventually reworked as The Legend Returns. The game may have been around 20% complete at the time development was overhauled for GBC. I'd love to see anything. Even a test map.

i guess i just want a sims-esque life sim that isnt owned by EA & have been following any project that scratches that itch. paradox is weird with the amount of dlc they release but i thought life by you's focus on user made content & the game being modular was interesting. sad it got cancelled but at least other projects like Paralives and inZOI seem to be nearing the completion phase of their development & look promising 🤞
