A look back at the 2001 Animal Crossing website

Nintendo's japanese websites are archived by Nintendo itself even at this day

even for games that are not longer owned by Nintendo like Banjo Kazooie or Perfect Dark have their websites avaliable
That's something to admire right there, like how Warner Brothers (I think) still keeps the Space Jam website alive & kicking.

Hosting those sites probably costs those companies literal pennies and it's a great PR move, yet many refuse to go there.
 
It's fascinating that the entire furniture and villager catalogue exists in this one website. Nowadays we rely on fan work to compile all the basic information on these games, but Nintendo practically made their own Animal Crossing wiki here.
