What are your top five games of 1995?

Warcraft 2 for sure. A huge hit that put Blizzard on the map.
Chrono Trigger a close second.
Tactics Ogre is incredibly influential
Donkey Kong Country 2 is a strong sequel.
Yoshi's Island wasn't quite as good as SMW but pretty creative in its own right.

Honorable mention to Front Mission.

In no particular order:

Clock Tower, Star Wars: Dark Forces, Super Bomber Man 3, Yoshi's Island and Marathon 2.

I actually have barely played any games from the year that aren't these ones, I should check out some others. Will keep a look and what you people played.

Yoshi's Island, Warcraft 2. Twisted Metal, DKC2, and Panzer Dragoon dominated the zeitgeist.

New graphics and genre possibilities. Everything was open ended with questions around whatever the Ultra 64 was going to become in 96.

Mega Man X2 came out in 1994.
You're right, but for me (in North America) it came out in 1995.
So I tend to think of it this way. Things weren't as global back then.

I too, live in America. So for me it was likely the same thing; I doubt our video rental store had international imports for Super Nintendo games, back then.

For Me:
1 - Super Mario: Yoshi Island ~ Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
2 - Super Donkey Kong 2: Dixie & Diddy ~ Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong's Quest
3 - Jikkyou World Soccer 2: Fighting Eleven ~ International Superstar Soccer Deluxe
4 - Real Bout Garou Densetsu ~ Real Bout Fatal Fury
5 - Rockman X3 ~ Mega Man X3

Extra/Bonus:
6 - Hoshi no Kirby 2 ~ Kirby's Dream Land 2

Oooh maaan... once again, there are tons of games! Anyway:

- Rayman
- Battle Arena Toshinden
- I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream
- Ridge Racer Revolution
- The King of Fighters '95
- Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge
- The Dig
- Rapid Reload
- Fahrenheit
- Sega Rally Championship
- Full Throttle

And who knows how many others... :->

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (SNES)
Terranigma (SNES)
Secret of Evermore (SNES)
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (SNES)
Earthworm Jim 2 (SNES)
Terranigma actually seems like an interesting game as I checked a few of its screenshots. I don't know why, but it seems like a different game compared to other RPGs. I just can't put my finger on it.
