Terranigma actually seems like an interesting game as I checked a few of its screenshots. I don't know why, but it seems like a different game compared to other RPGs. I just can't put my finger on it.

Enix had a great run on the SNES with Actraiser, Actraiser 2, Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma, and Robotrek. I recommend giving all of them a try.

Tenchi Souzou or Terranigma is one of the best 16bit RPG's of all times. The game mechanics are so well made and the extras are so extensive that I was impressed the first time I played it. In addition the difficulty can vary from very difficult to piece of cake depending if you spend time leveling or not.
