Final Fantasy III (Maeson) NES ROM

A large scale rebalancing of Final Fantasy 3 by Maeson, involving nearly every mechanic the game and modifying it in some fashion, from equipment to damage formulas and enemy scripts. Further, there are plenty of optional QoL patches that can affect palettes and secondary mechanics.

RB's Notes 1: Each file utilizes a different FF3 translation, in hopes of better suiting users' tastes. They are Alex W. Jackson's (et al)'s version, ad0220's version and Chaos Rush's version, listed here in order of recency.

RB's Notes 2: There's extensive documentation explaining the changes made, so please take the time to read it all.

RB's Notes 3: Regarding secondary patches, included with all is the flash reduction patches. Outside of that, do note that there are too many options to account for, and if you do decide to use any of these changes, you'll need to do the patching from scratch, in the order the Readme specifies, which is as follows:

1:  Character Graphic Improvement, always first.
2:  Menu and Battle Menu color patches and the Text Border patches.
3: Character Alternative Palettes.
4: Optional Gameplay patches.

This includes a couple of gameplay changes, the optional lowering difficulty patch, and the Flash Reduction patches.

RB's Notes 4: Despite the ad0220 translation being impressive on a technical level, it expands the ROM to twice its retail size, and several emulators will not run it. FCEUX works fine with this translation so if you can run that, or a libretro core based on it, you're set.

Further, the anti-flash patches don't seem work with it, so if you are photosensitive, please choose another.
