Hello guys!

I love the Zelda series and I'm looking for similar games. I recently discovered this game on Itch.io by chance:

It reminds me A LOT of the first Zelda on the NES. It seems it's from the same guy who created Tanuki Justice and Aggelos (which I also recommend).

Do you know any other modern Zelda-like games other than Oceanhorn, Blossom Tales 2 and Ocean's Heart?

I remember Golden Axe Warrior on mastersystem being a pretty good zelda 1 clone

Oh man I love me a good Zelda game!
Modern ones, huh? Here're are couple recommendations off the top of my head:

Tunic kind of fits into that category, but that game is more built around the meta puzzle of figuring out how it works - it's great though, definitely recommend that one.

Death's Door is also a really good, straightforward one. No real twist to the formula there as far as I can remember, but it's really good.

Kind of a stretch, but since it's fantastic I'll mention it anyway - Cross Code. It's like an in-between of Zelda and dotHack with a focus on combat.

Eastward is stunningly gorgeous and more or less a Zelda-like, but it leans much more on puzzles and story. It's also quite linear.

Prodigal and Veritus are both super similiar to the GBC Zelda games if you're into those and finally I can also recommend Unsighted, which is another one that's fairly combat-centric.

I'd second Alundra on the PS1. It is a really amazing Zelda clone but takes the puzzle aspect of the series to an extreme.

I've also liked the Oasis series. Beyond Oasis on the SEGA Genesis and there's a sequel I haven't tried yet.

Tunic was already mentioned, so I'll go with the other fox Zeldalike.

MasterKey. It's cute in that there's no real language in the game, all info is conveyed through pictograms. The feedback loop of getting new items/abilities to continue getting new items/abilities is done quite well in it.

If you like the GBC Zelda games, I'd say it's a must play.

For 2D top-down Zelda games, there's the 007 James Bond game and Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru on GameBoy. NES got CRYSTALIS. On SNES, there's Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma, Brain Lord, Secret of Mana, Ganpuru: Gunman's Proof, and Twisted Tales of Spike McFang.

On PC, there's Anodyne, Ys - Oath of Felgaia, Ys Origins, Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim, and Prodigal (which reminds me of the GBC Zelda games).

If you liked Link's Awakening. I recomend Ittle Dew. It's 2 games and the plot of the first is basically Link's Awakening. Make a raft and escape the island

And yeah Darksiders 1 too (Yousef is not joking)

Alundra. If you've not played it already, you're missing out.

It's the best Zelda clone there is.

Oh... Modern?

Well, there's Tunic. Tunic is good.

An older option would be Blood Omen.

Wow! Thanks a lot for all the cool recommendations! I kinda didn't expect any replies lol.

I didn't know some of the games you guys mentioned, but they look nice. I will definitely check them out. Ittle Dew and Anodyne look really nice!

Back in the day I played many of the classics you guys mentioned here like Alundra, Final Fantasy Adventure, Crusader of Centy, Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma, Brain Lord, Secret of Mana and Blood Omen. All really nice games!

I cleared this one, and I agree, it reminds me a lot of Zelda! Awesome game!
