Zelda - Demon's Quest

I saved all the carpenters.
It was easier to use sticks, because those chicks weren't going down easily.

I kept getting the half-stick by waiting for them to use their spin attack, then jump slashing at them dead-on;

they would get hit, then block as if the end of the jump slash was an additional attack, causing the broken stick to clash with the block, and form the invincible half-stick. Saves on trees. 😅

Apparently the Gerudo Fortress wasn't abandoned outside, because I found this crazy-haired gal behind the fence.

I also discovered that trying to play a song for Pierre freezes the game, so don't do that or this happens!

This patch was released yesterday
Thank you! Now I can finally get that damn Scarecrow Song. (I like to make mine the Konami code)

So, I beat the Water Temple and this happened.

Not sure if it's because I beat the Water Temple before the Forest and Fire temples, if it's because I skipped the cutscene where the lake is supposed to be filled, or what I can do to fix it, or if I'll end up having to start my run over, but it looks like I won't be able to get the fire arrows, at least this time around.

Is it my hardware being finnicky, or are other people experiencing a ton of lag since the update patches?

Thanks!
Your hack rocks, by the way.
As you can see, I've been playing the hell out of it :loldog

I will be honest; I was testing the skip cutscenes function the whole game, just to see if any issues came up. I think the lake not filling up may have been due to skipping the cutscene.

I love playing your hack on Hero's mode! It revived Ocarina of Time for me. I'm on my 6th or 7th save by now haha.

Are consumable fairies different from the original game? I wonder if they still revive you after dying, or if they recover all your health.

They revive you, I believe you only lose the heart permanently from dying without any fairies.

And if you try to cheat and turn off the game, you lose the heart anyway because it saves the fact that you died.

Edit: Maybe I saved by accident afterwards 😅

Does anyone have a list somewhere that explains what each stat does? I've got 10 points to start with, but don't really wanna spend them without knowing what all they're improving. ^^;

Strength, Intelligence, Endurance, and Luck

Strength is self-explanatory, and I haven't noticed any significant difference in my run.

Intelligence supposedly helps boost Magic, and maybe also magic defense?

Endurance seems to indicate toughness, but I read somewhere that it was to increase your stamina, and increasing it I have noticed a significant increase in stamina.

And as for Luck, I have no idea..
It says something about being "in the God's favors", but idk what it's for.

Thanks for the heads up. ^_^
Edit: So after checking around a little, there's some small stones around the base of Link's Treehouse that tell what each stat does.
Strength is melee damage
Intelligence is damage from spells as well as magic arrows
Endurance affects how much stamina is drained by dodging/blocking/attacking etc
Luck is crit chance as well as chance to not take damage from attacks.
Performing a perfect block will negate the stamina and durability loss from the block.
Also, just a heads up, the game can hang or lock up entirely when checking some of those stones, so save often.

We are so back.

And yeah, I went to the lost woods to fetch ruppies for the shield and remembered I could use sprint. Jumping to the bridge that leads to Hyrule was fairly easy lol
Trying to do that right now... No luck yet. Wanting to get some bottled fairies before trying Gohma again. X_X

This hack looks super cool. A Dark Souls 1 style Zelda game with an interconnected world and soulslike combat would be sick. I'd prefer that to the BotW style of modern Zelda.
