Hello and Good morning to all
I've downloaded both US and Europe ISOs of this game to play on my Android device (Moto Edge40 Neo) but when I enter the Zelda NES game I can play to a certain extent and it bugs out with locking link's movement to the last walking input for a few seconds and the emulator (Dolphin) freezes forcing me to close it without any error info or log, anyone had experienced such error before?

Well I can imagine how problematic it can be for an emulator to emulate a Gamecube game and thus emulating a NES game on top of it (emulatorception lol). It may be a compatibility issue to not enough RAM issue at this point, and/or if CPU is not well enough for such emulation along the process it fills the RAM with bugged out data that eventually "chokes down" the stability of the emulator.

it might work better if it were on an actual Gamecube. They sell modded ones over on sites like Etsy and Ebay.

I remember the game being kinda buggy on the gamecube so maybe it's just how it is.
I recommend just emulating nes games on a proper nes emulator
I was using Vulkan on the graphical settings I changed it back to OpenGL and the error apparently ceased. Thank you all for the commentary and advice.

Going off my own experience emulating this collection on Dolphin; you're honestly better off just emulating the individual games on other emulators. While the versions of OoT and MM on here are quite notorious for being not very good ports anyway, on emulator they're even worse lol. I remember in MM specifically; any mini-game with a timer has the time count down way too fast to the point mini-games such as the Beaver Bros. race are borderline impossible to do on emulator.

Weird. But it makes sense since the N64 had slow down that was accounted for when developing the games for it. I never noticed that though. Huh.

Yeah, I obviously don't know the full technical reasons for why it happens, but I imagine it's something to do with said slow down and it maybe causing some strange de-sync between the emulator and the games internal speed. I should specify it's specifically the second set of Beaver Bros. races that are almost impossible to do on emulator (And it is a specifically emulator only problem, and I know this because I had this collection as a kid and I played all the games to completion just fine).

Recursive emulation can be tricky. I remember not being able to play Space Harrier in Shenmue when I've played it via Chankast.

The same thing hapenned to me when I tried to play the NES games on Animal Crossing
Try changing the game config graphic motor to OpenGL did the job for me on the Zelda collectors edition I guess, either way I'm not getting the emu freezing anymore.

I wouldn't have thought the Motorola Edge 40 would have so many problems with this. The device is well-equipped and should be able to emulate everything perfectly.
Well when emulator doesn't run the game ok you gotta change its settings. This is the way it's!!! lol

Just emulate the games on the original system emulators.

I think this is more a stubborn thingie or just an informative post. The OP wants to play it through Gamecube emulator no matter what and that's what makes him happy, playing it with the NES emulator would be boring lol.

Yeah, because functional game is so much worse than one that is not even working.
Then again it is Zelda on NES, boring would be the end result anyway.

Sega Space Harrier, 1985! Yeah, lol. One of my favourite arcade games back in mid eighties. Still play it. Not to get off topic but that arcade original where you snap back into center position, a mechanic that didn't make it to the Megadrive's Space Harrier II.
