Anyone else use to own Zbots growing up? Man, I have fond memories looking at the poster that came with my small set of of 3-5 figurines. Growing up I would visit Toys"R"Us and my parents would buy one of these. If it wasn't these toys I had Mega Man figures, a year or two later would be into POGS- mostly buying them and slammers at Walgreens drug stores- anybody else relate? Half of my early video game magazines are ruined since I used them to make my own custom chips lol.

I think this started my obsession of collecting things early on. What were some of your childhood favorites you felt the urge to obtain a full-set of?

Oh man. I was about to say I'd never heard of Zbots before, but I found this.

That unlocked a deep hidden memory. I totally had that! Man, that's been gone for awhile, I don't even know what happened to it. x) I'm surprised I wasn't into Zbots, Transformers infected me with a love for robots at an early age. Thanks for bringing that up, it's always cool to see something you haven't thought about in decades. ?

I did collect Pogs as well, still have them actually. I have two of those Pog... tube... things full of them. I never actually played with them, I just liked having them. That's a nice segue into one of my favorite toy lines...

Hot Wheels Road Wars! It was a post-apocalyptic cars toyline. I had most of the 1/64 vehicles and I had the Liberty Base playset. The cars are still at my mom's place, no idea what happened to the playset though. It's a pretty big thing to just lose, I probably just broke it and it was thrown out. But what does this have to do with Pogs?

The cars came with Pogs! That round thing isn't a sticker, it's a Pog. :>

This is a deep pull. I never owned any of them but I always wanted them. Computer Warriors! It was a very short lived toyline that was pretty cool. It was little figurine guys that you'd put into various transforming house objects! The one I remember most is the Pepsi can that turned into a turret. It had a pilot that never turned into a show. I had the VHS tape of it and was always disappointed that I never got the toys. Saw them in stores, but not for long. :<
That cheesy fucking music gives me life.

Finally, another deep pull. You guessed it, it's Ring Raiders! Another failed toyline and TV show that I had the VHS tape for, but never owned any of the toys. They were little toy planes that had a ring thing on the back that you'd put on your finger and like, fly them around and stuff. They also had big aircraft carriers to put the planes in. I also remember the really long ads for the toyline that were on the VHS tape. They were, let's say a bit optimistic about the success of the toys and series. They advertised stuff like bedding, a toybox, a desk, a lunchbox, mugs, etc. Very sure of their success. I at least saw a Computer Warriors toy in real life, it was the Pepsi can and it belonged to one of my babysitter's kids. Never saw Ring Raiders toys though.
TIL that the composer who did Ring Raiders music used unused tracks from it as well as several other shows for the Digimon TV series. The fuck? That's wild. He composed the music for basically every fucking 80s and 90s show. Wow. The wiki page says he might of had a shitload of ghostwriters though.

Oh well, they had Micro Machines to keep them afloat. I had a ton of those as well. Some of them were really cool, like ones with a little viewing window on top that let you see a cartoon drawing of the contents in the vehicle. I also had a big truck called the Motor Muncher. The orange roller on the front was made of foam and it just kinda disintegrated after awhile. Those little cars were sharp!

Well, that's all that comes to mind, I had more to say but I've been here for like three and a half hours looking at toys and my brain is mush, I GO TO BED.

P.S. @stealthRUSH What is your avatar picture? It looks like something from Five Nights at Freddy's but I see it says 3DO in the lower left. I must know what this duck thingie is.

In LATAM they were called tazos, and especially in Mexico they were practically both a religion and a currency, honestly i never knew about their "Neutral" phase without brand attachment, that said, they rocked, not only we got regulard disks, we have giant variants, variants with dents which with we could create "Fortress" to crash by throwing, iron variants, rubber ringed variants... i still have some of them, ESPECIALLY the Pokemon ones

Your welcome! I don't think I've seen Computer Warriors before or Ring Riders but they look awesome. But I do remember Road Wars, also brings me back haha. @Ian Naxieas It is indeed from 3DO, in Japan they released magazines with this character.

@Bakuma1997 very cool, didn't know it was that popular in other countries.

I've considered buying some ZBots quite a few times, they were always so cool. Neat to see somebody talking about them. I've always wanted to pick up some sealed Trashbag Bunch but those got sort of expensive and to be honest I'm not crazy about some of their designs.

How about these guys? Anyone remember them?
