So... It's now sooo maaany years that I retrieve all the games I've missed over time for one reason or another. I now have hundreds of them for a wide variety of systems and - although I don't know if I'll ever be able to play them all (I'd have to live at least 2 more lives :ROFLMAO: ) - I keep on getting titles, because the "retrieving bug" is too strong, and I can't shake it... 😅
Now, the latest game I found just the other day is "Kingdom Come Deliverance" for PS4.
If any of you have played it, I'd like to hear your thoughts/opinions/impressions about it (NO SPOILER, of course).
Thanks! :->

Both of the Kingdom Come Deliverance games are highly recommended. Dan Vavra's games always bring a level of immersion and interactivity that other games lack. That said, the combat -- especially the first game's combat -- as well as the save system, can be be difficult to get used to. The best way to save the game is to save & quit. While it's a bit of a nuisance, it can be done without a bed or Saviour Schnapps.

The game has amazing sword combat that's really fun and the gameplay is something like The Elder Scrolls but there is a big "but" here:

Your character already has a well established past, family and all and therefore this is the lineer background and story to go with, which prevents the game from being an RPG. It's more like "Henry Simulator" lol.

Another point to make is you know Henry is religious so it doesn't make sense to have him commit sin because he wouldn't. It was just a big turn off for me. I can't enjoy a game when it offers options but so many options don't fit into the character I play as. Then it make me be "Henry" to make the game makes sense but it ain't fun. I dislike Henry so I can't just continue playing as Henry.

What really bothered me is the unkillable NPCs because otherwise story would give blue screen of death and there would be a time paradox lol, which is why I ended up deleting the game after playing it for a few hours. Once I was bored of sword fighting simulator aspect the game was done for me. Because I won't play the 1st game I have no reason to play 2nd game. If they wanna release a 3rd game that is really an RPG without Henry and BS forced story and NPCs then I would give 3rd game a chance though.

In the end game is another story driven action game with more options than usual. Usually you can steal and hurt people that's beyond the script but game doesn't really cares what "bad" you do. So imagine a game like that with The Elder Scrolls features. Imagine playing as Zelda BOTW but you can steal from shops and murder some people, and as a result people can be hostile to you. In its own way for how story driven the game is for it's the intended purpose of the game The Elder Scrolls-like gameplay doesn't make sense because it's Herny you play as, not your character. When I play as Link I play as Link so I do what Link would do so even if there was an option to genocide I wouldn't, but if I could create my own character only then The Elder Scrolls-like gameplay would matter to me so I would enjoy genociding lolol. That's why the game became "too much then it try to do", they attract wrong audiance to the game and they destroyed expectetion of people when they realize "but dude it's Henry you should play as", it wasn't even like playing as Shepherd in Mass Effect because he doesn't have that much of a "well defined background" to begin with. By making Henry such of a character and making the game so forced upon the "Henry experience" to tell the story they wanted developers ruined my experience and prevented me from actually care to play the game.

I tried the demo of the first game when it came out and had a very hard time getting into it. I think I was more in the mood for a high fantasy Elder Scrolls type game and on top of that it was very difficult. The combat was not easy to grasp. But last year I picked up the full game on the cheap and really dedicated some time to it.

It's fantastic. The level of immersion is very high. Really getting into the zone and roleplaying the character you want to be elevates the experience. The story itself is a lot better than I had thought it would be.

I have heard the sequel is even better and I plan on getting it at some point. But for anyone interested be prepared for a slow burner but when you "get it" it's hard to put down.

I heard the same but then I heard Herny turned out to be forced homosexual scenes or some shit, so last time I checked people were discussing the irony of developers always said "all we wanted is a historically correct story to be told" and then people were arguing how a guy like Henry can be homosexual or bisexual lol.
