From what I know of Castlevania lore, Alucard is not his birth name. It's actually Adrian. Alucard was a name Adrian chose to show everyone his opposition to Dracula and according to the wiki, "to represent that he stood for beliefs opposite those of his father."

So on that train of thought, if I had a son who was going to oppose what I believed in with a name change, he'd probably pick some demonic sounding name that would piss me off. Besides, just a reversal of my name wouldn't mean anything to anyone since I don't have a famous name with a reputation.

The above also gives me an excuse not to post my actual name.
