Imagine no games used trackball input yet and you were the first to think of a game cleverly using that as an input. Or think about that Game Boy game that uses a glucose meter to help kids manager their blood sugar levels. Or I guess like those PS1 games that used inserted CDs to generate in-game stuff. I think the PS4 version of Alien Isolation actually uses the controller mic to encourage you to be quiet when hiding or something.

What inputs do you think could be used for a good video game?

I liked Until Dawn having moments where you had to hold the controller completely still. Added to the horror atmosphere and was a nice twist on those story-focused, QTE-heavy adventure games.

It is keyboard-sized, looks like a platform with a big analog stick with a palm (think motorcycle/fingerless gloves) indentation but no depress buttons (AKA L3/R3),(sideways) analog stick on the thumb, mouse buttons + scroll wheel setup for index and middle, a sideways shoulder and trigger button for ring and index

On the platform, 2 such setups are located where WASD and the numpad are, mirrored for the right and left. It'll look like you're playing with 2 mouses

Yeah, I know. It's inspired by Gundam CCA's Arm Raker MS controls (used by ReGZ and v Gundam)

Maybe a graphics tablet? Its been done with consoles like DS and WiiU but I dont think it was ever done with pressure sensitivity.

There was the U-Draw tablet that was made for the Xbox 360, Wii and PS3. I wish that more games had been made to use it. I have the Xbox one, but didn't use it much.

I had the one on Wii but also didnt use it. Art made more sense on screen tablets like ds and wiiu. But for gaming purposes the pressure sensitivity on modern art tablets could maybe be used to change the strength of an attack. Only problem is I imagine there would be many damaged tablets.

I just want them to improve VR. That's the final frontier.
