This plays in every boss battle in an RPG that has a boss literally every half hour. No joke. By far the highest boss density in a JRPG I've ever seen. Walk two steps, boss fight. But the song is so over the top cheesy you can't help but love it. Yes that is Ian Gillian from Deep Purple singing the vocals.
The theme that plays when you fight Saturos is an all time classic and never fails to get me pumped.
I don't know why The Lost Age's boss theme sounds so dire and desperate when half the time the bosses aren't that hard but I love it all the same.
Technically the eclipse battle theme in Dark Dawn is more a theme for fighting the eclipse enemies in general but they're super strong and sort of boss-like.
And two curly fries because variety is the spice of life.
I can't believe the thread got this far without Metal Gear Rising getting a look in.
That aside, the final boss music from Persona 1 gets a shoutout from me. Just the general vibe of darkness that it conveys is really memorable after the journey you go through in the game.
