Your first gaming system you owned?

Just journaling and am curious what devices users owned first. I believe I played some version of Pac-Man: World on a couple different floppy disks (thanks Dad) but one holiday I got a SNES and Donkey Kong Country 2. I think my next game was Super Empire Strikes Back. Needless to say, I didn't beat either of those games until much later.

i love my ps1! i only had like two games for it, Digimon World and the first disc of Chrono Cross. but it was still a really fantastic time. i used to go down the elevator at the start of chrono cross over and over to see all the funny guys you could get.

In terms of a system to call my own, I grew up with a DS lite.

Before that however, I was introduced to games through my father's NES and Sega Genesis.

I will always remember waking up Christmas morning to the sound of Super Mario bros for the NES. We were the first of the neighborhood kids to get one. My dad was setting in front of the TV playing unsuccessfully, but having fun. He wouldn't let us play at first. I also remember he had to change the games out at first because he thought we would break them when we pushed them in and down. He looked so proud. Unknowing his one act of kindness would start my downward spiral into the grimy world of gaming.

My proper Introduction to gaming came when I received my first PlayStation 1. Sadly it broke and I never saw it again. Then I got a PSP.

My l'il yellow Game Boy Pocket. I was so small back then that it didn't even fit in my pocket. My mom had a Super Nintendo, and she and dad played it now and then, but I wasn't allowed to play it myself until I was a bit older.

Other than that, my cousins' Genesis / Mega Drive was fun to play with them whenever I was over.

We all played stuff like Super Mario and Donkey Kong Country together. My dad likes stuff like Final Fight, Double Dragon, and Street Fighter 2 also. My dad used to be able to beat Final Fight on a single credit.
