Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time

It's also on the PS3 but this version you can play on the go and both ports have a cross save function.

Oh shi, my expertise has been asked upon. Lol, but seriously.

I like the Dynasty Warriors ports on there. Specifically play Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate, Samurai Warriors 4, and One Piece Pirate Warriors 3.

Megatagmension Blanc vs Zombies or whatever it was called is pretty cool.

Limbo is a good little time, it's heavily stylized.

Axiom Verge is a great metroidvania.

Dex is another really cool sidescroller.

Shakedown Hawaii and Retro City Rampage are excellent gta types, and they are some of my favorite indie titles.

If you are looking deeper, and have yours modded, there are a ton of unofficial game ports. All of the PS2 GTA's, Max Payne, Bully (albeit Bully isn't really that playable past Ch 1) and a bunch more.

I was playing the original Unreal on there a little bit ago.

I love my Vita, but I think I would've hated it around the time it came out. Most of my played games on it are either unofficial ports, or PSP games. But there are a few good titles.

It was a PS Mobile title but I played it on the vita: Tokyo Jungle Mobile, and I don't know of a way to play it now, or if it's possible to emulate it. It's different from the PS3 version.

Dedicated vita title, I would say the Hot Shots Golf on there. It was really solid.

Would be Kingdom Hearts 1 but thats not on the Vita. The Vita is kinda mid to even recommend you any game.

As someone who probly played ones that got PC ports.,(ports aside) My picks are Muramasa Rebirth, Odin Sphere Leithrasir, Dragon's Crown and the Chaos Rings games. I'd surely play more as vita3k gets better hopefully.

As for the ports, I really like
Toukiden Kiwami
Freedom Wars
Tokyo Xanadu eX+
Nights of Azure 1 and 2

Can't Edit anyone but I forgot to add Ys 8 and Celceta, Pirate Warriors 3 and Shantae Half Genie Hero.

I really liked Oreshika Tainted Bloodlines. It was a very original game concept where you play as a cursed clan of people with a very short lifespan and who can only have babies with gods ::huhsonic The visuals were cool and it was like genetic engineering your JRPG party.

There’s sooooooo much overlap between vita and other systems I played so I can’t mention my favorite 3rd party off top of my head but my favorite first party game is gravity rush.
Favorite third party game is probably Digimon cyber sleuth hackers memory and sonic all stars racing transformed.
Oh and PlayStation all stars.
Persona 4 golden was vita exclusive for a decade so that one too.
I also recommend collections like god of war collection of Jak n Daxter collection.
For psp games I recommend all three gtas.
And musou orochi 2 with an English patch.

Well, I can't link you to anything because that's against the rules, and I can't really talk about it in general, but look into Zealous Chuck on youtube. He's big in the Vita community, and he can help you out.

Not only Vita-exclusives, but I'll list titles I've played on Vita and greatly enjoyed: there are many others, though.

Gravity Rush
Need for Speed Most Wanted
Wipeout 2048
Assassin's Creed Chronicles
Freedom Wars
Tearaway
IA/VT Colourful
Volume
Race the Sun

Persona 4 Golden. I beat it two or three times back in the day on it.

I also never beat anything other than Persona 4 Golden or Danganronpa as native Vita games on it. I did own a bunch, like Mind Zero, Silent Hill Book of Memories, Uncharted, etc, but never found the motivation. In fact, I'd say I beat more PSP and PS1 games on it.

Vita has lots of great games, most of them aren't exclusives though which I always thought was a weakness of the system, but it's no big deal if you just want portability. The system is great fun if you hack/mod it. Besides Tearaway and Sly Thieves in Time, which were already mentioned here are some others that I really enjoyed:

S tier:
Wipeout 2048- I suck at it but I managed to get almost all the trophies (I grabbed all the multiplayer ones) but a few
Killzone Mercenary is one of the best fps I played period but that might have just been me loving vita at the time

Soul Sacrifice (never played delta)
A tier:
Uncharted Golden Abyss- dumb fun, needed a multiplayer mode like dark mirror had though
Tales of Hearts R- I forgot it but I know I had a good time with it

Easy: (is not like the vita had too many games, it was a great console tho)

Sorry if I'm not very original, but it's "Persona 4 Golden" and "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc" ;->

Perchance I am but aged, yet I find solace in unembellished RPGs rich with narrations profound. Choose any from the ten(10) unique Atelier games for Vita, and rest assured, a delightful sojourn awaits thee.
