Not exactly a store, but the Walmart near my home had in December a small section named Juguetilandia (Toyland) that was section where they were lots of toys, neatly sorted in small sections and they even had a small christmas tree, sadly by the time the new tens rolled they clossed that sector and toy are now in two small aisles

Todo Por 2 Pesos, where I rented Genesis games, got movies by the dozens and bought some of my favorite toys.

Sad Metal Gear Solid GIF

I remember a toy store somewhat nearby where I got several of my childhood toys from, and it seems it shut down years ago

Hudson's Treasure Hunt. It was sort of a big close-out chain store that had some pretty kick-ass stuff if you poked around a lot. I remember getting a novelization of The Simpsons' Christmas Special, a huge box of Wacky Packages, and even a Canadian variant of Chibi-Robo for the Gamecube. It was also insanely messy to the point where you had to dig through stuff, like a garage sale organized by a hoarder

Unfortunately it got bought out years ago and hasn't quite been the same since

Block buster is out, and damn I miss it.

We also lost Pizza Hut here, which is kind of really sad, tho they lost quality a lot.

On my more recent lost, and one thing that I miss a lot, it was our local video game stores: I bought all my games from them and they where really professional with games on release day, DLC as gifs, and even some t-shirts made by them if you get the game on day 1.

They sadly close their doors on 2020-21, and now we have just a bunch of small stores that either mostly sell Funko-pops, are less serious (Once a guy told me to come back next week to get my copy of SAO FD, because "we have it a launh", and it was only a lie), or take their time to get any game here.

I miss them alot

i remember there use to be a video game store called play n trade - that was my spot for all my gameing needs - and they gave you a fair deal for the stuff you traded in too... i miss when i was a pre teen *crys* :-(

The comic store in my hometown. They would special order me any manga free of charge and they had Yugioh/Magic tournaments on friday and Smash Bros/Tekken tournaments on the weekends. That place kicked ass.
