I want to try one of these all button fighting controllers. They look really fun.
I can’t guarantee the quality, but there are many leverless controllers available for under $70 nowadays.

If you have a fighting game on PC, you can try using a keyboard to get a feel for it—I highly recommend giving it a try!

Wait keyboard counts too technically, here is mine

If you decide to get one, I recommend getting the kind with easy hot-swappable switches, since it's basically a computer parts it's easier to maintain compared to a standard button. Replacement parts are practically everywhere too.

@DunkeyKong This is one you put your phone into? How is it? I had one before by Altek Lansing, but I couldn't map any of the buttons, and the right stick had way too much input lag and huge deadzones to be of any real use.
Must've been an issues inside the controller, or other stuff I don't know. As for my controller, it's pretty good and works well. I'd recommend you to buy a better one though like one with a higher price and quality because I bought mine for like RM40+ ($8+) with vouchers and coins stuff on Lazada

That controller by Atlek Lansing looks pretty sick though, I might buy one someday

That looks insanely cool!

Did you make this keyboard yourself?
Your love for Asuka is amazing!
Yeah, bought a DIY aluminum kit with pcb included, the switches, caps, and lube all bought separately. I'm lucky there is someone in my local area who do 3D printing for a living, I asked his help to paint the Unit 02 keycap.
I don't recommend doing all this for a keyboard though, it's freaking expensive, I'm just a bit of a lunatic when it comes to custom stuff.

Still looks pretty af though!

My two preferred controllers are either my 8bitdo Pro 2 or my Xbox 360 controller. I'll use different controllers depending on what I feel the game in question would work better with.

Mayflash F300, though I replaced the buttons and stick with Sanwa parts. It works on almost any system you throw at it out of the box. I use a square gate and a Korean lever.

This was initially just my starting arcade stick to try them out. The buttons were pretty terrible pre-swap, but felt much nicer after modifications. It works for me, at least.

I've been using this for 5 years (I bought it when COVID started), it's was really cheap around 20BRL (5$ when I bought it) and it has been served me well all these years. It works on my phone and on my pc.
Though you don't want to play fps games on this one, I don't so it's good for me.

Aye same, mines is already pretty broken though (like the pushed in A button)

The Logitech Precision was my first controller for PC use when I got into emulation. It still works too. I like using it for games that don't need analog controls.

Later I got a Xbox 360 controller because I needed the analog controls but the bumpers and analogs eventually wore out. Replaced it with a PowerA Xbox Series X controller.
That shit looks like an earplug

mine the analogs melted because I played so many intense games (hi3rd, mgr and metroid dread) and my fingers sweated a lot (because brazil is really hot at least where I live, around 32ºc everyday)
so I put some acetate cloth electrical tape on it

you could try to open the controller and try to fix the button but you would have a hard time putting the triggers back since they're kind hard to position

Damn that's rough, I feel you. I've tried fixing it before, and yeah the triggers are quite hard to position. Even the buttons didn't feel quite right

I'm a cheap bastard, I used the controllers from my Xbox 360 for 10 years after retiring the console, now they both got broken potentiometers (I really need to fix them, they are very sturdy and reliable controllers). I was about to get a dual shock 4 or Xbox one controller as a replacement but they were so expensive that I ended up getting three 8bitdo ultimate C wireless controllers for the same price. I'm using them for around 2 years now and they are ok so far.

I had a Nostromo I've bought probably a decade ago!

It helped me a lot when my keyboard wasn't the best for gaming but objectively speaking, while it could be comfortable for newbies, it's not helping on the long term to get used to a proper keyboard for gaming as you'll often need more than 14 (+ the wheel, the space and the small button above the directional pad) to have the full range of your actions (especially with numbered keys for weapons in a FPS).

I loved having a 8bitDo until one of the face button couldn't work properly.

I have an old wireless Xbox 360 pad for PC that I have for over 15 years.

I have never been comfortable with arcade sticks. For a long time my gaming companion was a Beitong BAT2, until I relied on 8bitdo's very good Pro2 fully mappable with shortcuts and macros especially in Retroarch.

Maybe a hot take, I found these to be more comfortable compare to X360 controller, remappable buttons and adjustable analog deadzone is a godsend.

I'll need to buy that one someday. Does it rumble and work on the Switch and PC/Mobile? Is the d-pad good?

I also own an Under Control PC and Android/iOS pad to play mobile games with a proper pad support.

And for my Switch I have an Echtpower pad with Gamecube colours (which looks like an Xbox One pad)

Those are so cool o.o

I just use my pink PS4 controller. I was using an Xbox 360 afterglow but the right stick like, disintegrated inside the rubber. I try not to use it now. I just open DS4 for everything and it works.
