PSP Your 5 Essential PSP Games

If you had a PSP and could only have 5 games with it, which 5 would you pick.

1. DJ Max Portable - The main reason I want a PSP again is to play this in the form factor I remember back in High School. Great rhythm game from South Korea.

2. Generation of Chaos - I know this series doesn't have a lot of fans but it was one of the few games I could play over and over again with it being a turned based strategy RPG similar to Dragon Force.

3. Growslanser IV - I loved the combat in the Growslanser series but never beat any of them, this is the one I would want to go back and finish the most.

4. Metal Gear Solid Portable OPs - Still not available on modern system and is the Metal Gear game I would want most on this system. The AC!D games I would pick up outside of a top 5 since I'm not the biggest fan of their gameplay but they're still good games.

5. Tales of the World - This was a tough choice between this and one of the Phantasy Star Portables, but decided on Tales of the World as my swansong to when I used to be crazed about the Tales Of series.

I've never been good in these things "if you could only choose 5 games" because I'm not good in choosing favourites when I loved so much titles on psp :)
I say "Crisis Core" and "Dissidia 012" because they are the reasons that made me buy the console; I would also add "Riviera The Promised Land", "FF Type-0", "Wipeout Pulse", though there would be many more!

The psp has way too many great games to narrow it down to 5, and some games really didn't get a chance to shine until I played them on a PS vita with the improved controls and increase in screen size, Third birthday and the macross frontier games definitely benefitted from this.

There's many games on loved on the PSP but these a re the five I remember playing more recently or to completion etc.

I've never been hugely into the PSP, but from what I've played I think Valkyria Chronicles 3, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, Metal Gear Acid 2 and the Persona 2 duology would probably be on my list.

If we're including hacks then FFT: War or the Lions has to be on there as well somehow. Oh and MH Freedom Unite as well! ... I'm bad at these top 5 things.

Spelunky is my most played game on my Vita. Great for short sessions like sitting in waiting rooms, etc.

Literally the only five games I played for years:

1. Dissidia 012 - Literally my confort game, the one that I play whenever I don't know what else play;
2. Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Tag Force 5 - The best YGO game on PSP imo, both for the format and the soundtrack;
3. Def Jam Fight for NY: The Takeover - Crazy good replayability with the character creation and with the many fighting styles that can be mixed and matched;
4. Medal of Honor Heroes - Mainly the Skirmish mode, which is, despite being only Deathmatch with bots, very fun thanks to the variety of weapons and maps;
5. Burnout Legends - One of the best pickup-and-play games, Road Rage in particular is my favorite mode.
