I made the switch from Kronos & Yaba Sanshiro 2 and never looking back again. I hope the emulator gets proper mpeg emulation for Lunar.
But the MPEG card still isn't implemented, so you cannot play that Lunar edition for now.
Before Ymir I used SSF and Beetle Saturn. But with Ymir I will never look back either. Should be a matter of time, the Devs are constantly adding new stuff. Read that internal upscale is also a coming future. Great stuff ahead.
SSF is still useful for fringe cases and people with low spec PCs.
Mednafen Saturn and it's ports will be the first ones until Ymir catches up, that seems will not be that long.

It sucks SSF still needs a virtual disc drive to this date. Always annoyed me. But as you've wrote good for low spec PCs.
Agreed. Ymir is going into a good direction. CHD support works sublime too.

I think the last versions of SSF don't need that anymore.

SSF doesn't require virtual disc drive software. You can mount images. Last update was back in July, R35.
