Ymir (SEGA Saturn Emulator) just got a brand new update and it's really better than before.
better accuracy, better performance and auto update.
also according to the developer of Ymir, 90% of Saturn library is now compatible with this emulator.

Does anyone know if it's compatible with retroachievements? It doesn't say so in the changelog.

It seems people keep missing my posts and doing duplicates haha ::sailor-embarrassed

Hope they port it over to Android.
Someone else will have to do it
See https://github.com/StrikerX3/Ymir/issues/673

Oh man... Can I finally play through Baroque on the Saturn without spending all my time troubleshooting and tweaking settings???
I'd wait the devs develop the ability to multiply the internal resolution for better gfx. Unless you are too anxious for that. 😉::thumbsupwario

Better don't wait, the dev is taking a break and making a GPU renderer that can do that will take time, unless someone hops in to contribute with coding it.

Huh. Couple of people saying it's the best emulator, I'm curious what makes it so

I was insanely happy a few years ago to see how far Saturn emulation had come, and got it set up on RetroArch and the games ran pretty flawlessly, other than some hang-ups on Burning Rangers, which was fixed with I threw in an old graphics card I got on the cheap. Just had to use Beetle for some games and Kronos for others

Then a year or so later I was notified that Mednafen is even better, and they weren't wrong. So I've been using that ever since

Would there be any reason to change to Ymir?

@BlueBottlecap just try it.

It's standalone, has a traditional interface, it's easy to use, don't really have to mess with settings...

It plays 90% of the whole Saturn library, more games than Kronos according to Emulation Wiki.

It's a work in progress still, but for a project that has only 1 year of age, is really impressive.
