Been playing a lot of the bonk games lately and i think they might be slept on like i know they are TALKED ABOUT but i don't meet a lot of folks who have actually played them.
Any other games on this system i should be looking at?

BomWell, and you're into more clichés, why don't you play Mario?

Legendary Axe...that was the introductory game for the Turbografx-16. Great music and gameplay. But avoid the sequel.

Dragon Spirit for the amazing ost

China Warrior or the Kung Fu...people bash this game but this was often used in demos back in the day for the PC Engine in shops here maybe due to the large character sprites. I personally like it especially the last boss since we were big fans of Jacky Chan's Snake in the Eagle's Shadow and Drunken Master (You'd know why if you watched those). I call it the "let's throw a lot of junk at Bruce Lee" game. A little short though...

there's a bonk arcade game that has co-op same for bonk 3. but bonk 3 co-op is not that great IMO.

Only ever had the first gamez Bonk's Adventure growing up, but played through it many times. It's one of my favorite games on the system.

I would also recommend: Military Madness, Cratermaze, Neutopia, Ninja Spirit and Blazing Lasers.

Tuurbografx has a lot of bangers.

Alien Crush/Devils Crush
Ninja Spirit
Legendary Axe
Dungeon Explorer
Dragon Spirit
Cadash
Air Zonk
Blazing Lasers
Magical Chase
Side Arms

And here are some standout imports with english translations available
Valkyrie no Densetsu
Dragon Egg!
Honey in the Sky
Maerchen Maze
Son Son II

I'll try and recommend some other cutesy platformers on the console.
- Dragon Egg!
- Mizubaku Daibōken
- Jigoku Meguri
- Son Son II
- New Adventure Island
- Doraemon: Nobita's Dorabian Night
- Momotarō Katsugeki
- Fushigi no Yume no Alice
- Aoi Blink
- Yōkai Dōchūki
